He used to be terrified of the forest when he was a child because his mother would tell him all sorts of stories about horrible creatures that lurked past the tree line- bears the size of houses, giants as tall as trees, pixies that would follow him home and haunt his dreams for the rest of time. She swore over and over that when she was a little girl, she’d seen a wolf walking around on two legs like a man when she wandered too deep into the forest one day.
