Levi Ackerman, a gruff cleaner with an appetite for toilet humour meets the unabashedly friendly creative writing professor, Hange Zoë, who somehow ropes Levi into working on a comic with them. While the comic’s title remains undecided, Hange knows that it’s going to be set in a world where giant, human-like creatures devour other humans. Erwin Smith, the comic’s self-appointed editor, unironically thinks it’s going to be a hit. All Levi knows is that he wants to indulge in drawing this comic while hanging out with a certain writer who just won’t stop talking to him.

Summary
In this lifetime, they meet at a school garden. No one remembers what happened in Marley, much less in Paradis. No one, except for Levi and Hange.
Hange remembers their first meeting. It was a flash of light, a trick of a mirage. The flash was quick to distort him, superimposing on the calm of the moment. Another him, another Levi. Of all of Hange’s weird theories, they never share this one with Levi.
For Levi, it wasn’t their eyes that thrusted unknown memories into view. It was the sound of Hange’s voice. The first time it reached his ears, it brought a bubble of relief, one that made the back of his hairs stand. Like hearing the dead speak.

“Yeah, it did.” Kenma sighs wistfully, and a cocky smile plays at the edges of his lips like he’s proud of the fact that he's shelling out so that Kuroo looks paid for. It makes Kuroo want to give him whatever he wants whenever he wants it. The moon? Deal. The crown jewels? Absolutely. Kuroo’s still beating and bloody heart in the palm of his hand? Done.
“And you don’t mind? Spending this kind of money on me?”
“I just like getting you nice things,” Kenma replies, his voice is quiet, almost like he’s talking to himself, “Is that so bad?”
