Summary
Emmrich has been Rook's pretty omega, relishing in the affection and care of his alpha he has so craved for decades. Now, his bid for Lichdom is upon him. It's everything he has been working towards for years finally coming to fruition. Not only an escape from death, but a chance for incredible prestige and power that will be much needed in the fight to come against the gods. There's only one little problem: along with exchanging flesh for bone, all mages, regardless of their original designation, become an alpha upon completing the Rites of Lichdom. How could his coupling with Rook, the love of his life, possibly survive?
