To be forgotten. The accolades he achieved, the knowledge he gained, the relationships built along the way, would ultimately amount to nothing. Gone from this plane with the first gust of wind, receding with the melting snow as spring promised warmth along the horizon. The only proof he had ever lived would be his rotting flesh, the gold sitting atop his bones. And who would come to care for his grave then? It would become a relic, fading into obscurity within the Necropolis’ vast tombs, another ruin for its growing aggregation.

This Rook is Lilya (Ingellvar) Volkarin, an elven Necropolis crypt baby turned Mourn Watcher. She is more of a combat mage than a necromancer, and she favours lightning spells. ;)

Two months ago, Raymond shoved what was left of one Rebecca Owens into a cramped, upright coffin. He endured her taunts and, after drawing her bare wrist into an exposed holder, shut the wooden eye slot with a reticent sigh. A contingency plan, extra resources, but he was alone in his work once more.
This one man act is unsustainable. The mortician once again needs to hire an assistant. He craves a human presence where his mortuary fills with demons, outnumbering him. What he gets instead is a mess that threatens to unravel every delicately balanced web of secrets, topple every wall he's built up to protect himself from the inevitable, demonic tide that's coming for his soul.

After a deadly car crash, Delilah is sent to Hell. At least, that's where she assumes she's ended up. What else could a labyrinthine mausoleum lit with sickly green fires and decorated with bones and chains be? What else can explain the hordes of undead chasing her through its halls?
Emmrich, meanwhile, is sent to investigate a substantial perturbation of the Fade deep within the Necropolis that has caused quite the upset amongst its undead residents. What he does not expect to find is a living woman, dressed in outlandish attire, mad with fear and screaming in a language he has never heard before.
