The Unholy Masquerade comes to Staten Island, courtesy of Nandor, who hopes that the undead celebration will bring everyone closer together.
Everyone except Guillermo, who would be the tastiest snack on the menu for any supernatural creature. The ‘no humans allowed’ rule on the invitation is for his own protection, really.
But he’s never been known to follow the rules.

“Killed…?” David starts to take a step forward. Michael shrinks back against the stone behind him, pressing his back into the rocky wall to help push himself to his feet, and David stops, again. “Michael, you haven’t killed anyone.”
The grin he flashes is toothy, knifelike. “Not anyone we care about, anyway.”

“Why not?” Bill stretches his arms up and folds them behind his - well, not head. “Hasn't stopped you all the other times.”
His heart thrums hard, off-beat. His hands feel numb, heavy, like sandbags, dropping limply to press against the cool concrete floor. “What other times,” he rasps out.
Bill squints his eye in a facsimile of an unimpressed look. “Last night. Night before. Night before that. Used a pillow that time, that seemed to work pretty good-”
