At first, it’s funny.
It starts with a text that Tetsurou reads under the table during a meeting because, even three years after the grudging you’re tolerable (be still, Tetsurou’s heart) and three months after the out-of-nowhere I suppose I could tolerate you on a daily basis, depending on how many square feet we’re talking, a message from Kei feels too momentous to save it for his lunch break.
All it says is, I broke your favorite mug.

“Calm down, long boy,” Miya Atsumu drawled. “Just checking your dye job.”
“My what?” Who the hell starts touching someone’s hair without asking? Or even saying hello?!

He glances at Suna and Tsukishima, falling back into each other after having finished their food, then at Tendou who glows in the morning light, and all of a sudden, Kuroo’s heart is heavy with emotion.
He clears his throat. “You know, you can sleep if you want to,” he offers to them both, voice betraying how tender this moment feels to him.
Suna hums and shakes his head, still resting on Tsukishima’s shoulder.
“No,” Tsukishima hums in agreement, peaking one golden eye open to peer at Kuroo before closing it again. “I don’t want this night to end.”

"With a scoff Kei pushes him off. At first there’s no give—Kei decidedly does not take note of the fact that the other is stronger than him and the excited trickle he can feel in his stomach at that—but once the boy realises what Kei’s trying to do, he loosens his grip, allowing Kei to pull away.
He’s still speaking Bulgarian.
Kei scoffs. Two can play at that game.
“What, you think I’m too stupid to understand English?” He hisses in French, taking a step back."
Kei's a Beauxbatons student, Tetsurou goes to Durmstrang, can I make it any more obvious?
