“I think this is my favourite day!”
Jane was humming next to him, her head rested on his thigh as she twirled a daisy between her fingers. Dustin had watched as she plucked it from the ground ever so delicately, patting the ground gently with her fingertips afterwards as if she was saying her thanks. Her gentle mannerisms, her soft nature; he didn’t know how he hadn’t noticed before.
“Yeah?”
“I love spending time with you. I feel normal with you,” she replied, turning her head to look up at him with a warm smile.
“I love it too Jane.”
He was going to make sure that every day from then on was her best day.

After the events S4, Dustin is mourning the loss of Eddie. Nobody wants to talk about all they have been through, and grief eats away at his every thought.
Jane is struggling to transition back to living in Hawkins, particularly now that she is back in hiding. With no sense of stability, she is desperate to feel like a normal person, if only for a few moments.
Dustin agrees to tutor Jane, and what starts as two friends supporting each other through their grief becomes a gentle love story.

Hopeless romantics in their own ways, they become pen pals during Jane’s time in Lenora.When she returns to Hawkins after 3 years in Lenora, they must face each other, as Jane begins to explore what she wants after Mike, and Dustin, heartbroken after Suzie, is convinced no one will ever love him again.

Jane becomes popular when returning to Hawkins, Troy asks her out before Dustin could gather the courage to do so, losing his chance. A ton of stuff happens in the middle, I can’t condense it accurately, just know that Jane gets a job at a church alongside Troy and she attends ballet classes, Dustin works at RadioShack and is Corroded Coffin’s backup.

Summary
It’s Neville Longbottom’s seventh year attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but nothing is the same. Harry, Ron and Hermione are missing, and, of course, the gossip is spreading. They are trying to defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and end the ongoing war. When Snape takes over as Headmaster of Hogwarts, and appointing known Deatheaters as teachers, it becomes abundantly clear to Neville that he and the other students are in no position to wait for Harry to rescue them. They needed to start an uprising, they needed to rebel. And with their main fighter out of the picture, Neville needs to pick up the sword.
Neville’s story will be told in four separate archs.
