“I don’t even know what they get out of doing all that.” Frank walks beside her, loosening his tie, undoing two buttons of his shirt and propping it up. He looks like an idiot, but at least he’s back to looking like himself. “I just don’t get why your existence is such a big deal to them.”★ ★ ★

As Erik laid there, silently, trying to catch his breath and feeling the sweat slowly cooling and drying over his body, he almost didn’t know what to do with himself. Should he get up and leave? Do something to fight everything that he was experiencing the way he always did? Or just give into it and let it overtake him?
Of course, that was when it became apparent that the decision was no longer his to make as his emotions got the better of him and the rush and release were just too much. Tears were welling in his eyes and, as he blinked, one slid down his cheek.
