Summary
Out of all the assignments Catra could’ve ever wanted for her debut as a photojournalist, this one is the absolute worst. Not only is her subject guaranteed to be the most vapid and self-absorbed person on Earth, it’s a piece on dogs, of all things.
However, Adora, “dog walker to the stars”, isn’t at all what she expected: An oblivious mess, intriguingly beautiful, seemingly disinterested in fame, and utterly terrible at being in charge of dogs.
Catra on the other hand is very good at wielding a leash and giving commands, but it’s Adora who she yearns to have sitting at her feet. Can they stay professional enough to get through this article and not screw up both of their careers in the process?
Or: A plot-driven(ish), eventually romantic, kinky pup play AU where Adora has the personality of a total mess of a golden retriever and Catra is the perfect handler to show her how to be such an obedient good girl.

Adora thought that a platonic marriage to her best friend seemed like a great idea at the time. Glimmer gets to prove to her parents that she’s mature enough to handle the family business, and Adora can finally stop feeling pressured to find "the one".
It’s mutually beneficial, honestly. Their friends know the truth, and the only people they need to fake it around are Glimmer’s parents.
The only minor setback is that the owners of the vineyard they're booking just so happen to be Glimmer's college flame and the woman that Adora has been pining after for her entire life.

“Do you have to taunt them like that?” Micah asked. He shot a wary glare at the tree line and lowered his staff as the remaining pookas scrambled back into the forest.
“Something to remember me by,” Catra answered as they walked along the beach. “This place is gonna get boring once we’re gone.”

Adora has recently moved back to Etheria to help her friend Glimmer with her nonprofit organization, Bright Moon, which renovates old buildings to create resource centers for the community.
After a close-matched scrimmage between Catra's and Adora's roller derby teams, their paths keep unexpectedly crossing. Will corporate Horde succeed in gentrifying all the lower-income neighborhoods in Etheria, or will Adora be able to protect the interests of the local communities? Which team will come out on top when their personal battles transition onto the track?

“What?” Adora’s progressed to full on visible disgust now. There is no way in hell that’s true, and even if it is, there’s no way in hell she’s just going to roll over and surrender for an estranged sister and her complete stranger of a fiancé.
“They left it to both of us, yeah, until one of us marries. At which point, Bright Moon is to be led by the sister in that family unit, to someday be passed on to their children in the same fashion,” Glimmer says.

If that does happen to be true, it’s the most ridiculous, bullshit of a deal she’s ever heard.
She’ll have to have their lawyers confirm first thing in the morning, but for now, the edges of her vision begin to seethe red.
