Summary
Hidden away her entire life in an orphanage, Alina is unaware of who or what she truly is. When her only friend and companion Mal mysteriously falls ill and it is announced he is to be "adopted" they attempt to flee, only to have Alina carted back to the orphanage, receiving a promise that when it is time for her to leave the orphanage she will get to see Mal once again.
Years later on the brink of an illness of her own, Alina is whisked away into a world where people have been waiting for her and where her nature can run its course.
TL;DR: Alina doesn't know what omegas are and gets thoroughly fucked by a possessive Aleksander who has kept her hidden away from the world so he can have her to himself now that she's ready to take her place by his side.
