The Master has a brilliant plan for taking over the universe with an alien mild control machine. This plan does not involve the Doctor, and it certainly doesn't involve the two of them accidentally erasing their memories, then being stuck together for days trying to figure out how to get the machine working again, never mind doing so while making incorrect assumptions about the nature of their relationship or struggling against confusing feelings and disturbing suppressed memories. But when has anything ever gone according to the Master's plans?

Bai Xiaosheng huffs out a humorless laugh. “As fate would have it,” he echoes. “So, what’s the plan? Are we going to track down this sect and make sure they regret their sorry existence?”
“We?”
“Don’t sound so surprised,” Bai Xiaosheng flippantly replies. “I’ve been involved since they decided to poison me. Besides, this matter concerns Yan Hui. I can’t just let it go.”
Tian Yao is silent for a long moment, but eventually he nods, standing and extending a hand to Bai Xiaosheng to help him up.

A sudden and particularly nasty coughing fit wracks his frame and he turns, covering his mouth with a hand. It leaves him shaking, inhaling a sharp, burning breath.
Alec frowns. “You aren’t getting sick, are you?” he asks, concern coloring his voice.
Magnus scoffs. “Of course not,” he says with feigned confidence, in an attempt to hide the trembling of his voice. Everyone knows warlocks are incapable of falling ill. They are immune to nearly every mundane disease in existence. And, with or without his magic, Magnus is still a warlock. “I’m just tired.”
