Summary
Tadej's breath is quick; he can feel cold sweat gather on the back of his neck and on his forehead, barely enough of a feeling as the night air touches his skin. He, once again, turns his head to look at the hallway, staring into the cold darkness, frozen, like his fiancée, the love of his life was standing there. She could be, at any moment, and Tadej should hang up right now, block the number, or, even better, throw his phone out of the window and try his best to forget all of this. He should.
"You can, ah, show me, if you want to. I'm alone also." Jonas's voice says into his ear, low and gentle.
He doesn't hang up, block the number, or throw his phone out the window, to let the night take away his guilt like his meds take away his pain, the stupid screen with the stupid text messages.
He doesn't. He swallows, voice down and hoarse as he hears himself speaking.
"I can...go to bathroom. Yeah?"
He can feel Jonas smiling.

Or, while Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogačar are both recovering from their crashes on the 2026 Tour de France and La Vuelta a España, one bad decision leads to another as get-well-soon messages slowly turn into heated texts and midnight phone calls.

Summary
It had only seemed fair to find that other pair of light eyes in the front row, the years before, because every other pair seemed far away and dull, and perhaps they all were, because everybody already knew the words that will be leaving Tadej's lips. With each year, it grew bigger and stronger, beautiful and perfect. Predictable, but so exciting. Hands that had reached out once nervously, unfamiliarly, grasped into each other with painful need in those years, and kept holding each other until the bliss ended, and back came reality. But oh, fingers laced and palms pressed together, how perfect it was while it lasted! As perfect as the Tour itself, and as painful too.
Tadej looks for those eyes in front of him as he looks around, even though he knows they aren't there, not this time. His own can't seem to accept that. They find brown ones at last, shining with that new, challenging glint, a fire Tadej is so not used to. It's unfamiliarity once again when he says the name.
Maybe he really is obsessed?

Summary
Jonas Vingegaard lives with his wife and their beautiful children in Denmark; Tadej Pogačar is soon to marry the love of his life. Cycling's two biggest stars couldn't wish for a better life. However, an unfortunate situation settles over the sport when the legendary rivals both suffer bad crashes during summer.
Jonas, who has much more experience in the matter, acknowledges and accepts the situation bitterly: the best season he had for years comes to an early ending. Tadej comes to understand his problem harder, barely able to get over the fact that he's not going to be able to defend his title as world champion.
While neither athlete's plans for 2026 went through, their fates are now decided, forced to only watch the races they wnated to participate in. However, while spending much more time alone than expected, strange thoughts begin to fill the rivals' minds about each other.
They are soon about to find out just how much more unexpected 2026 can become, as they engage in a, at first, much more sexually than emotionally fueled affair, and are forced to face their feelings towards each other once their text messages stare back at them from the newspaper.
