Summary
Stiles slumped against the wall. “Barely. And you owe me. You owe me like crazy.”
Derek stretched his leg under the table, testing for twinges and aches. It seemed alright for his kneecap having been shattered by a wolfsbane bullet a few hours ago. Yeah, he could do this. Stiles was right. Derek owed him.
He stood up and walked towards Stiles, letting a bit of predator into his movements.
Sometimes the chase was almost as fun as the reward.

“Next time – next time just tell somebody when you’re going to do something this stupid,” he said, shoving the towel into Stiles’ hands. “Tell me. I’m your Alpha.” He sighed. “Go change. Get in bed.”
The kid just nodded and that was just wrong. Sometimes Derek thought Stiles lived to argue with him.
Or the one where Derek makes hot chocolate and Stiles is quiet.

Scott frowned at Derek, always so suspicious of him these days. “I… yeah, of course. Stiles–”
“Boyd’s gonna stay with him and his dad.” Derek rubbed his forehead. “Uh… this way, your mom can keep an eye on Isaac, too, just in case. Did Erica take my car?”
“Yup,” Stiles said, popping the P.
He sighed. “Just tell me she didn’t hotwire it.”
“Nah, she stole the keys out of your clothes while you were off running around in the woods naked like the weirdo you are,” Stiles said, grinning a little. “C’mon, I’ll give you a ride… somewhere. Wherever."

“Stiles,” Derek’s mouth says.
“Yeah,” Stiles says. “That’s me. So who the hell are you?”
He doesn’t like the smile that curves Derek’s mouth. It’s a predator’s grin, and for a moment, Stiles wonders if this is what the moment before being slowly eaten feels like.

Stiles slipped his good hand under the hem of his t-shirt and carefully eased it over his head. “God, getting dressed is gonna suck for a few days. Tell me a story.”
“What?” Derek blinked. “Are you five?”
“A wolf story.” Stiles rolled his sore shoulder carefully. “You had them when you were a kid, didn’t you? Tell me one of those.”
Derek threw a towel on the floor under his feet to catch the hair clipping and plugged the razor into the socket behind Stiles. “Like fairy tales? Little red riding hood who teased the wolf and nearly got herself killed by the hunter? The wolf who cried ‘boy’ and nobody listened?”

Summary
Like usual, Derek’s entire body relaxed immediately. He liked this part, Stiles thought, liked how Derek practically went limp under him, body completely devoid of any tension for now. He’d sensed this coming, if he was being honest with himself. Something about storms made Derek antsy, his skin too tight. Running helped, but sometimes…
“Good,” Stiles said, straddling Derek’s thighs. “There we go, that’s good. Yeah. I know what you need.”
Sometimes he needed more to settle him back into himself.
Or: Derek doesn't like storms. They make him restless. Stiles helps with that.

“She makes me have dinner with her and the Sheriff every week,” Derek admits. “She keeps saying I don’t eat well enough. Too much fast food, she says. I keep reminding her I’m a werewolf and then I get a lecture about cholesterol. That doesn’t even make sense.”
“Did you accidentally puppy-dog eye her?” Scott asks seriously.
“I – no? What the hell, no.” He levels a glare at Scott. “And dog jokes aren’t funny.”
Scott laughs. “You totally did. Oh my God. That’s priceless.”
Or: Derek feels, basically.

He’s finishing up on the treadmill when he hears it.
You have so many relationships in this life, but only one or two will last.
If it weren’t for the fact that he spent the entire summer he was thirteen banned from going into town until he learned to control his shift, Derek is pretty sure that he’d have a few too many teeth right now. But, no, he’s going to be an adult and somebody who’d rather not be hung from a tree and cut in half for viciously murdering a human at the gym, so he’s just going to get out of here as fast as he can without breaking something.
When you get old and start losing your hair, can you tell me who will still care?
Or somebody.

Or: The One Where Derek and Stiles Are Unwilling Gym Buddies.

“Can I buy you breakfast?” Derek blurted, then cringed. Where exactly had that come from? He couldn’t actually remember the last time he'd asked somebody out. Not that he was asking Stiles out. Just for breakfast. And - he was pathetic.
Stiles blinked, honey-whiskey-golden eyes huge in the dim light. “What?”
“I woke up you up at two in the morning,” Derek said, more slowly. “I – you know, food?”
“Oh.” Stiles shook his head. “I have to get up at five and I stayed up stupid late as it is. I’m gonna be a mess tomorrow already and–”
“Nobody gives a fuck, Romeo,” somebody shouted from outside and Stiles jerked so hard he cracked his head on Derek’s windowsill.

“Kind of an ugly thing, isn’t it?” Stiles asks.
Derek turns a glare on him. “Why are you even here?”
Stiles grins. “Because you plus a kitten is hilarious, Danny Zuko,” he says, reaching over and scratching the kitten’s neck.
The thing takes a swipe at him and takes a chunk of his arm with it. Stiles jolts backwards, trips over his own feet, and ends up on his ass on the floor.
Derek looks back at Deaton. “How would I go about keeping her?”
Or: The one where Derek gets a kitten because of reasons.

Derek raised an eyebrow. “You know I can shop for myself, right?”
“I know you can,” Stiles said. “But I don’t think you will. So we’re gonna go to Walmart and get you a couple packs of tank tops ’cause you look really hot in those and some more t-shirts and Henleys and basically whatever you need, and I’m going to stare at you and maybe drool a little while you try them on. And then we can go to wherever you usually buy jeans and I’m going to stare at your ass while you try those on.”
“Good to know,” Derek said dryly.
Stiles grinned. “Yup. And then you can wash them in my washing machine and leave them on my couch until they stop smelling like strangers and smell like us.”
Derek absolutely did not turn red.

Summary
“You better be ready,” Lydia says as she cleans dirt out from under her nails with an antiseptic wipe. Stiles can smell the lemon scent even from where he stands a few feet away. She’s probably going to end up covered in blood in a few moments, but she likes to be in control in any way she can, so he doesn’t tease her about this. “It’s time to start.”
“I’m ready,” Stiles says and he’s pretty sure it’s not even a lie. Hopefully.
Scott, Stiles, and Lydia each sit at one point of the triskelion that Lydia’s drawn on the tarp. The center is a tight knot of some language Stiles had never even heard of before this, written in ink in tiny writing. It’s beautiful and also makes him slightly nauseated. Lydia makes both cuts, so the blood drops from Stiles’ arm and Scott’s, too, into the center of the triskelion. There’s wolfsbane on Scott’s knife, not enough to make him sick, but enough to keep him from healing too quickly.
It’s a surprisingly simple thing, after that, for what they’re doing. Blood, a few words, and a little magic.
Just those things, and, for the first time in three years, Laura Hale gasps in a breath.
Or: Resurrected Laura!!!

Summary
Stiles broke Christmas. Stiles broke the star off the Christmas tree, the one that the first gift of Christmas goes under, the one that starts Christmas and has had the same star for hundreds of years and Stiles broke it. This is officially the worst thing Stiles has ever done. Including getting Scott turned into a werewolf. What’s a little lycanthropy ever hurt anyone? There are lots and lots of really great werewolves out there and Scott’s fine. So he gets a little fuzzy every full moon. At least he can enjoy a nice cobwebby room without the dust causing his lungs to close up.
But this, this is terrible. Children all over the world are going to be disappointed because Stiles broke Christmas and Santa Claus, Santa freaking Claus is looking at Stiles like he’s going to end up on the naughty list and Stiles’ dad is going to give him that look and –
“Will you stop doing that?” Angry Eyebrow Elf mutters and shoves Stiles into a chair. “Seriously, stop panicking. You’re giving me a headache just looking at you.”
OR: The One Where Stiles is a Jack Skellington's grandson and Derek is an elf because of reasons.
