    Spider-Man has been acting weird lately. Most people wouldn’t notice, but Wade always pays more attention than people realize. It was trained into him so thoroughly that it comes as easily as breathing. And okay yeah, he pays extra special attention to his favorite hero/partner in fighting crime. Sue him. But seriously, Spidey has just not been himself. He’s been distracted and agitated, leading to him being a bit sloppy in fights. He shouldn’t be bleeding right now, they weren’t fighting a supervillain or anything like that. Just a wimpy group of bank robbers. They didn’t even have any powers or fancy tech, just plain ol’ guns. And Spidey should’ve been able to dodge that bullet.

    Or

    Spider-Man and Deadpool patrol together, but have no idea who the other is underneath the mask.
    Peter and Wade somehow end up becoming fuck buddies so Peter can get the stress beat out of him (consensually).
    Identity shenanigans ensue!

    Wade stopped in his tracks, wrestling with the thought. It made sense he wouldn’t want to jeopardize that by revealing too much to anyone else, especially a wildcard like Wade. If Webs was truly dating Peter, it meant they had something special, something that made Spidey feel safe enough to share his secret. And Wade couldn’t deny it; the idea of someone else being close to his best friend made his gut twist in an unfamiliar way.

    He shook his head, trying to dispel the thoughts. It wasn’t about him. This was Spidey’s life, his choice.

    Deadpool died all the time. It was kind of a modus operandi with the mercenary. He was used to it. In a sick way, Peter was also used to it. The merc would take a bullet to the brain like a tic tac. No matter how gnarled or dismembered he became, Deadpool always pulled himself together, and it was normal.

    The #HeySpiderMan hashtag is supposed to be a low stakes, friendly way for the people of New York to communicate with Peter. Not (to repeat: not) so people can proposition him by tweeting gratuitous nudes at him. Annoyed and impatient, Peter tries to solve the problem the best (re: worst) way possible: By telling the world, on live television, that he and his boyfriend would like the propositions to stop.

    Just one problem: Peter doesn't actually have a boyfriend. Like, at all. He doesn't even get laid, he's so busy.

    Wade aims to fix that.
