Filled with misguided adoration and obsession, Akaza decides to break free from Muzan's curse in an attempt to win Kyojuro's favor. If being "good" and aiding humanity will gain his favor, Akaza will gladly do it.
Then the memories come rushing back. Then he remembers everything he used to be. He knows he does not deserve Kyojuro's love, but he can think of nothing except offering himself up to the slayer.
