Summary
The truce goes like this: Yusuf and Nicolò are to part ways and never see one another again to maintain the peace. Yusuf settles in a bookshop in Tunis while Nicolò makes his home in Genoa and there they remain.
It’s a perfect plan -- right up until the centuries erode the hatred away and what’s left is a longing shared in an exchange of letters. When a new immortal is born and the truce is forced to an end when they come face to face for the first time in centuries, the question becomes:
