It’s my turn to wear a boyfriend tee to-unit, Skip says.
Norman is taken so offguard, he exclaims, “Boyfriend tee?!” out loud in the otherwise quiet of their room.
Yeah! Skip cheerfully replies. Marge says that’s what it’s called when you wear the shirt of someone you like.
“No,” he says. “It’s only a boyfriend tee if you’re my boyfriend, and you’re not.”
The body halts halfway through putting on a pair of jeans, their knee raised awkwardly.
“I’m not?” Skip asks, out loud now too. He has the audacity to sound forlorn about it, like he and Norman discussed this at any point at all.
“No?” Norman replies. “Did you ask me out? Did we say we were dating? Did we have any sort of conversation about it?”
“But…” Skip replies, pouting down at their jeans. Norman mentally rolls his eyes and takes back control so he can continue putting on their pants.

Arthur laughs and huddles close to Lapin, grinning wildly. “Hey,” he says in an excited whisper, loudly hushed like they’re sharing secrets, “so you know how I'm a master of chronomancy and everyone you know is dead?”
Lapin blinks, his stomach dropping. “You said everyone I know is fine—that that was a quangled Calorum.”
“Yes! No, exactly!” Arthur replies, before Lapin’s sudden anxiety can mount too much. “Don’t worry, we fixed it. They’re not actually all dead.” He waves a hand airily, and Lapin tries not to be annoyed. (He only mostly succeeds.) “My bad. I was just going to offer to return you to your time of death, in your Calorum—the non-quangled, canon one, so to speak. Maybe you can do something different. Give yourself a fighting chance!”
Dating Arthur has been fun, but Lapin still finds himself homesick and missing Candia (especially, perhaps, a certain gummy bear knight). Lucky for him, Arthur's a deft hand at chronomancy.

Fabian pauses to look up at Goldenhoard, stopped in time. The balloon arch behind them is maybe a little trite, but it’s also maybe a little sweet. He’s never been to a school dance before, homeschooled as he was on his father's ship, and a part of him wonders if this is supposed to be a shared experience every high schooler has.
“It’s too bad we aren’t here to actually enjoy prom,” Fabian says. “Didn’t even have the time to dance or anything.”
“Do you… want to dance?” Gorgug asks, hesitantly.
Near the end of freshman year, in the shadow of a dragon paused mid-battle thanks to some miraculous chronomancy, Fabian and Gorgug slow dance at prom.
It still takes the better part of a decade for them to start dating.

Summary
“Try them,” Fabian says, bringing him back to the present before he gets too lost in his head. His friend shuffles over and pats the space next to him in this mountain of fancy sheets. “They are like cream, you know.”
Wow. Gorgug must look absolutely miserable if Fabian is offering bed space. He hesitates, thinking he should go to his own room, but he knows that if he goes back, he’ll just lie awake all alone wondering why Zelda hasn’t messaged back yet.
And those sheets do look pretty comfortable…
And Fabian’s definitely got more than enough to share…
“Yeah, okay,” Gorgug finally replies, heading further into Fabian’s room and drawing the blanket-door of the space closed once more.
It's the Bad Kids' first night in Fallinel and Adaine needs to be rescued tomorrow first thing, but tonight, Gorgug somehow ends up cuddling a still-coughing Fabian back to sleep.
(Maybe Gorgug needed some cuddling too.)

Summary
Mihawk meets the red-haired boy in his dreams when he is fifteen. The edges of the hallway they meet in are wispy, but the boy appears clear, his hair almost too vivid in contrast. Then again, this is a dream.
“Hawkeyes Mihawk!” the boy exclaims, a little too loudly. Then he smacks his face with both his hands. “Oh my god, I am so lame,” he mutters. “It won’t go like this in person. I’ll be cool. This can be practice.”
Mihawk wakes up before he can find out what the boy means, but doesn’t think anything of it as he gets out of bed to make himself breakfast—weird dreams happen all the time for no reason, after all.
It’s only when he sees the same exact boy again a week later that Mihawk begins to take note.

"I didn't know you like crosses," Mihawk remarks after a moment, looking questioningly at Rayleigh. "I wouldn't have guessed."
"It's not for me," Rayleigh replies. His face is patient and bright. "I know you like them. It's for you."
Mihawk is taken aback. "This is for me?" he asks quietly. When Rayleigh nods, Mihawk feels awe rush through him. He takes it with reverent hands and holds it. It's way bigger than the hypothetical necklace he was planning to ask for himself, and feels heavy, sturdy. It looks kind of high-end for a kid like him. "Really?"
Rayleigh buys Mihawk a kogatana shaped like a cross.

Summary
There is a small, skinny child looking up at Rayleigh and pointing a sword at him with great big yellow eyes, a ring in each of his irises like black and gold targets.
Rayleigh looks back at him, nonplussed, and pushes his glasses up his nose. "What did you say, kid?" he asks, a little awkwardly. He wasn't expecting to be confronted when he still had groceries in his arms.
"I said," the kid huffs, "I, Dracule Mihawk, challenge you, the Dark King Silvers Rayleigh, First Mate of the Roger Pirates and the World's Greatest Swordsman, to a duel!" He flourishes his declaration by jabbing his sword in the air, acting like Rayleigh might have otherwise missed it.
Rayleigh presses his lips together, trying not to laugh. "Kid," he repeats, watching with amusement as Mihawk scowls with offense, "you're like. Seven."

“I don’t have a birthday,” Mihawk says. “I’ve never had any special people, and no one really raised me. There was no one to inform me of when I was born, and it seems needless to celebrate my own birth. So I just don’t.” Mihawk’s shoulders shrug under Shanks’s hands. “No matter.”
Shanks must be making some sort of face as he grips the fabric of Mihawk’s shirt harder in his fists.
“Shanks?” Mihawk asks, not exactly uncertain.
“You—” Is this a bad idea? Oh well, it’s too late. “You can have mine then!”

In his last year of university, Shanks decides to take Calculus 1—a freshman class—for his last elective because he thinks his dad Rayleigh is teaching it. When he gets there, however, he realizes he should have cleared what he was planning with Rayleigh first, as his father seems to have foisted the class onto one of his TAs (some guy named Mihawk?) instead.
Having decided to drop the class, Shanks is just about to get up and leave when the hottest man he’s ever seen in his life walks into the classroom.

Mihawk blinks, confused. "Why are you bringing this up?"
Shanks's mouth drops open, and his jaw works a bit before he wordlessly tips his head toward Mihawk's back, covered in bandages from the bullet wounds, and oh. Huh.
"Oh," Mihawk says out loud. "Huh." He didn't even realize.
"Those will definitely scar, baby," Shanks says sorrowfully. "I'm sorry."
"I'm not," Mihawk immediately counters, and finds it to be absolutely, one hundred percent true. When Shanks looks surprised, he clarifies, "These aren't wounds I received running from a fight, like some coward. Uta's safe. How could I ever be anything but proud of these scars when they prove I protected our daughter?"

Mihawk is loath to admit it, but as he kneels on this execution platform with swords crossing his neck, beaten to hell and back with two thoroughly broken and useless arms that they've nevertheless cuffed (painfully) behind his back, Mihawk is going to have to say that, maybe, he bit off more than he could chew with this one.
"This is your last warning," Shanks calls out, expression thunderous. The three scars over his eye wrinkle at the edges closest to his mouth when he bares his teeth with anger. His hair and his cape whip up into the wind he creates with the haki he builds up, demonstrating just how much power he can wield without even breaking a sweat.
Gone is the affable Red-Haired Shanks.
Here stands an emperor.
"I am leaving with my husband, and if you would like to leave with your life, you will not bother us."

"Crocodile was there," Mihawk nods at the large hook-handed man.
Buggy turns betrayed eyes at Crocodile, still smoking casually with Sanji next to him. Crocodile raises his cigar and nods. "Beautiful ceremony," he says sardonically. "Small and intimate."
Buggy takes a deep breath, and then starts screaming.

Yaku Morisuke was bitten by a radioactive spider, and for the last few months, he's been the one and only Spiderman. Despite the incongruity of his powers, however, he's mostly faced down thieves and car crashes. Really, the biggest problem in his life right now is the crush he has on Kuroo, and how hopeless it is because he's pretty sure Kuroo likes Kenma.
And then a flame-throwing man with horrible burn scars and a fanged blond girl with a penchant for knives show up out of nowhere and set a city block on fire. Yaku feels a little in over his head, but at least he has help from... another Spiderman that's saying the multiverse exists?!
God, what's Yaku gotten into now...
(This is a crossover with BNHA but I've tried my best to make sure people who haven't read BNHA won't be missing anything! This is first and foremost a story centred around Haikyuu!! characters.)
