Prince Keith is assigned a new bodyguard. Shiro finds himself in the service of a strangely human Galran.
For a moment, Shiro thought he had misheard. He couldn’t remember a time anyone had wanted to know his name since he was tossed into the arena. He had a prisoner number and the Galra-given moniker of Champion. No one cared about his name.
“Shiro,” he said, throat feeling tight as he choked on an unnamable emotion. “Please call me Shiro.”
Keith nodded slowly. “Okay, Shiro.”

This wasn’t a second chance, this wasn’t a redemption, this was Goro playing the only card left in his hand in a desperate bid to take Shido down with him before he had to fold. Fuck the election, he was killing that asshole the second he could get a bullet in his brain, and if that meant playing nice with the Phantom Thieves -- well, he’d done worse than that before.
He closed his eyes against the light. Dying, he thought, would’ve been so much easier.

Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.

“Uhh, Mr. Stark?” Peter said.
“What is it, Spiderman? You okay?”
“I’m fine but…I think we might have a ghost fighting on our side.”
“Impossible.” Thor interrupted. “Ghosts hate the living.”
“Yeah well one just saved my life and made a joke about New York’s rat problems.”
Silence over the radio.Or, New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.
