They had fallen into a routine.
Jeong Woo didn’t know how, even though he knew that it was him who contributed more to establish it. It was here now, as they settled onto the mattress in Sang Cheol’s living room, in his tiny Seoul apartment. The faint lights of the city slowly poured through the curtain’s peak, with a bluish tint that mixed well with the warmth in his stomach, brought about by alcohol and by Sang Cheol’s arm on him, around him, caressing him. It felt good, so he got himself lulled away to peaceful slumber, having forgotten the things he had meant to say, out loud.

Ilya shoulders his way through the bathroom's door and promptly steps over a trailing, ridiculous fucking piece of fabric, causing whoever is wearing it to bump against his back.
"What the fuck?" He snaps, irritated beyond rationality.
"Watch were you're going, dickhead." The guy spits right back without missing a beat.
He turns around, but whatever pissed off retort brewing inside his mouth dies on his tongue when he takes on the guy in front of him. For a split second, his brain screeches to a halt at the sight of Shane Hollander, except then it quickly comes to the bizarre realization that it isn't him.
There's a bewildered pout on his plump, shiny lips. He's taking Ilya in with the same cautious scrutiny, like he's not sure of what he's seeing.
"Connor?" He says, voice going slightly high pitched right at the end.
Ilya frowns. He's pissed off and nowhere near drunk enough for this.
"Who the fuck is Connor?"

Damianos is being sent to the prince of Kumat, who will take him as a husband; this is among the terms of the treaty that will end the war at last. Unless, presumably, he displeases the prince and is executed, which seems to him as though it is all too likely. But perhaps they will only dislike each other a little. Perhaps the prince will find Damianos's looks to his taste, and be willing to fuck Damianos at least the necessary once. That would not be so bad.
It is too improbable to be worth contemplating, that perhaps they will each please the other very much indeed, and like each other, and be happy. Far, far too improbable. And even if by some chance it were so—too many dangers would yet remain for it to have any hope of lasting.
