"Well, it's just, if you could, you'd know how upset readers are. Nobody understands the reason behind his sudden death. He's a beloved character. People want answers."
I may have overdone it because there was another long pause after my little speech that was just long enough I started to wonder if I'd been hung up on and left to stand on the stoop like a vacuum salesman.
At last, "Been practicing that?" was the sardonic reply.
Bruce Wayne is the creator of the Bat-Man comic book series. He's also an infamous recluse. One day without any explanation, he kills off the most popular comic book character in the world. The death is quite final. He refuses to give interviews about his decision.
Clark Kent is sent to get the story from Bruce no matter what—why did he kill off his most iconic character?
And Clark wants to tell Bruce's story, but he also just wants to get to know him better...

Jason loves his costars. He's just a big, really affectionate dude and he's got a lot of love to give. He's also very perceptive. He can tell Ben has been wanting to make a move on Henry for a while, but (for whatever reason) he hasn't. So, since he doesn't want Henry to feel left out or lonesome, Jason makes the move himself.
Cue Ben feeling like he missed out and beating himself up over it, until Jason playfully corners him and invites him into the fold.

Any professional reply died on his lips. It wasn’t like he was unhappy with the way he looked. It was more that strange men usually didn’t go out of their way to point it out to him. The stranger chuckled, waving his hand absently. Edwin noted that his fingernails were painted silver.
“Don’t worry, I don’t bite.” His smirk widened before he added, sounding mildly curious: “Unless you want me to, of course.”
Edwin’s stomach did another of those undignified little flips. “Why would I want you to bite me?” he asked, confusion outweighing his embarrassment for a moment, even though plenty of experience with Charles and also Crystal had taught him that sometimes asking questions did more to reveal his naivety than to conceal it. He certainly wouldn’t forget the handjob-conversation in a hurry.

Edwin hadn’t had use for his lungs in over a century, but suddenly he was unexpectedly breathless. "It really is you."
A low, velvety rumble of a chuckle shook the young man's shoulders in front of them. One glance over them, and the Cat King was grinning shamelessly, roguishly at Edwin again, like no time had passed at all. "Didn't I tell you that you'd miss me?"

The Dead Boy Detective agency is back in London, having attracted a lot of malicious intent from their work in Port Townsend. So when the Cat King stops by in offering his assistance, it isn’t in their best interest to refuse. However, when he ends up getting much closer than expected (aka love a found family, Mystery Inc. is never complete without Scooby), Edwin starts to wonder if his second chance at love has been staring at him all along through slit pupiled eyes.
It's a drabble fic of moments I had to write out or else I would lose what is left of my mind. Go nuts.

“The bloody Cat King. I thought we were done with that prick once we left Port Townsend,” Charles grumbled.
“I know,” Edwin sighed wearily, as this was the third variation of the same rant in the last twenty minutes. "And I know you will never be fond of him, but he is fond of me, and I am almost certain we can ask him for information without him wanting to extract too troublesome a toll.”
“Fine,” Charles huffed irritably. “But I’m coming with you.”
“Of course,” Edwin smiled fondly. “I wouldn’t dream of trying to convince you otherwise.”

Charles’ voice is tight with terror as he takes a few quick steps towards her but she shakes her head mutely. The blood stain on the front of her shirt does not grow and she stands up straight, despite the fact that she is pale as – well, as death. Three pairs of eyes shift towards the Cat King at the same time, who stands only a step away from Crystal now and who returns their look for a moment before glancing down at himself. Down, towards the rip in the front of his jumper, the fabric quickly getting soaked through with blood. The claw that had been meant for Crystal had cut straight through fabric and deep into his flesh.
