Damn, it was a perfect opening. This was it!
“I,” Kirishima started shakily. “I just wanted to, um, just wanted to tell you that…” That I like you, that I want to date you, that I’d be honored if you’d consider me. That I love you more than I realized I could even love anybody. Shit, he felt light-headed; his heart rate was probably pushing Mach 1. Bakugou’s eyebrow twitched impatiently, and with that tiny movement, Kirishima’s remaining resolve collapsed like a Jenga tower. “…That I might need help on some assignments tonight.”
Damn. This was not it.
Kirishima's mind was set. He absolutely, definitely, 100% was going to confess his feelings to Bakugou. There was just one, teeny-weeny little issue: actually confessing his feelings to Bakugou.
In which Kirishima pines and tries his best, Bakugou gets mixed signals, and their friends laugh.

Bakugou stiffens once again and hates himself for it. He lets out an annoyed groan.
“I hate this! It’s like my head says one thing and my body feels the exact opposite. I just dislike seeing you with the guy.”
Kirishima puts on a serious expression, trying to sort out the hidden meaning behind Bakugou’s words. But there’s no hidden meaning. He’s just not a good person. That’s it. That’s all there is to it.
Or at leas he think that is all, until Kirishima's next words turn his world upside down.“Well, you had your chance with me dude.”
_Or: Kirishima and Bakugou kiss and consequently panic for a while about what this all means.
