This series is about Ban, my Tav, and the Vampire Ascendant. Will be angst and smut, with sprinkles of fluff.
This fic is a softer take on Ascendant!Astarion and of the changes he undergoes after the rite. Can Ban handle the change, and if a chance came, would she choose to run? And can the Ascendant win her back in time? Inspired by the concept of vampire wives and that IGN interview with Larian that discussed the ascension.

Summary
Her caution of Astarion was pushed to the back of her mind, her image of him becoming that of a mildly annoying elf with too much of an ego, someone who didn’t want to make friends as easily as some of her other new companions might have.
All of these thoughts came flooding to her easily, with regret, as she was torn from her trance that night with Astarion on top of her, a dangerous look in his eyes and teeth bared. As soon as he had noticed she was awake he had jumped backwards, a soft “Shit” escaping his lips.
She was so careful around everyone, and she had let herself forget her original assessment of the man. He had been willing to kill her without a second thought upon their first meeting, and somehow she had let that slide. Since when had a handsome face and a charming voice disarmed her so easily? Only once, and she hadn’t made that mistake again until now.
--Have another Astarion/Female Tav I can fix him fic. It's incredibly self indulgent and I won't apologize for it. There will absolutely, eventually be smut.

His eyes drop to her mouth, and his thumb reaches out to trace her bottom lip.“What would you do,” Astarion asks, voice a low whisper, “if I kissed you right now?”
June may have realized she sees him as a friend, but that doesn’t stop her from playing his game. She doesn’t think he hates her anymore, but she doesn’t think he’s actually interested in her, either.
So she smiles, expecting that he’ll back down when she calls his bluff. He’s never followed through before, after all. Why should now be any different?
“Why don’t you find out?” she asks.
* * *Between the nightmares, prophetic visions, and violent hallucinations, June is losing grip on reality, but she has enough awareness to know that Astarion's flirtation is part of some sort of con. He barely even likes her, after all. When she decides to call his bluff and play along, thinking he'll back down, she's surprised to discover that she and the vampire have more in common than either could have anticipated. And his touch might be the only thing that can keep her sane.
