This. A Hermione story. The magical trials and tribulations of girlhood, and young womanhood. A temporal treat. Witty, clever, smart, dramatic, mundane (Muggle?). A beautiful synthesis of art and music and literature to make something new. Author has a gift with words.
And that doesn’t even mention the romance. The love. The yearning. The progression. So vivid and so realistic, it was like I was living in it. Lost in the sauce, absolutely. One of the best Dracos written, to match a wonderful and complex Hermione.

Summary
Maybe weeks ago he would've wished he was dead.
But that reality isn't his anymore; dogs don't wish for the existential. They wag their tails and sit up straight. They stare forward and bare their teeth on command. They beg for attention, and treats, and praise.
And he's a dog, a once disobedient thing that mauled without caution, that starved to survive. A husk of something that knows in the pit of its gut it isn't supposed to be heeling at the side of two gamblers and a warden.

Or the one where Las Nevadas needs a guard dog and Dream gets out of prison, just not in the way he expects.
