"Listen, I’m really sorry, Buck. Please pick up the phone? And let me know where you are? It’s - I, uh, We’d all really like to see you for Christmas, and Bobby’s getting worried.”
Eddie hung up the phone. “And so am I. God, how could I be so stupid?!”
== Meanwhile, in El Paso ==
This was definitely a bad idea. But he had gone this far, no turning back now. Buck shuffled the huge basket to one arm and reached out. He rang the doorbell.
“I’ll get it!” Christopher yelled, just like he always did.

Summary
“I’d like to kiss you now,” Arthur said softly, leaning so close, but not enough to touch, not yet. Because Eames was worth the truth, was worth the danger, was worth everything. Because Eames knew him, knew all of him, and loved him. Really loved him. Because Eames was his, and he was going to take excellent care of him.
Eames shivered under Arthur’s hand, both an instinct and a gift. Still, he pretended to be undaunted, staring at Arthur with a challenging little smirk. “I’m right here, darling.”

Summary
Arthur and Cobb were finally starting to own their corner of the illegal nightmare industry, but Arthur still felt unfulfilled, stuck in his daily routine. Until, suddenly, he met his catalyst, Eames.
Eames unlocked the laughter, the dancing, and the violence in Arthur. The rush of ambition and the sweetness of revenge. Eames awoke the Nightmare God that Arthur was always meant to be. This is Arthur's story, but more than that, it is their story.

Summary
When their layover flight out of Montana gets canceled by a blizzard, Arthur suggests they split a hotel room. For efficiency, of course. Eames quickly agrees. And when they get to the end of the long line just to find out there's only one bed, well, there was only one reasonable solution.
They booked the room.

Summary
Arthur didn't want to do this. He hated bars. He hated the smoke, the drinking, and the noise. He especially hated the messy situations bars had a special knack for creating.
But, unfortunately, he had a mission here. A mission to rescue someone he cared about from a post break up meltdown. He had already spotted Eames' dark swirled shirt in the crowd.

Summary
Arthur was going to scientifically define the concept of love, through methodical research. It was, by all real standards, an absurd task. It was also the only comfort he had when staring into the terrifying abyss of his own feelings about the brilliant fool standing in his doorway.
Obviously, between insanity and the alternative, he chose research.

Summary
"It won't be perfect," Arthur warned. "I don't have enough time to research an exact replica."
But he could already see the pristine watercolor mountains and swaths of pencil-lined flowers in his mind. It was an ambitious plan, an idiotic plan. Nobody had ever tried to build an animated scene in the dreamworld before, not that Arthur knew of, and he would have heard about it.
"If you can't do it, no one can," Eames said, as earnestly as he ever sounded. "What do you say?"

Summary
Arthur and Eames are trying to survive a post-apocalyptic dream scenario for several days, after diving into Cobb’s subconscious on an emergency inception mission. Even worse, their new chemist has made a dangerous sedative that distorts the levels, causing the dream structure to go awry.
On this level, monsters show up every night, and unknown to Arthur and Eames, the dream adopts a new apocalyptic setting each morning, which teleports everyone to a random location in the new world. This fic features: interesting dream locations, holding hands (to not get separated, of course), occasional spooky vibes, and a long, adoring romance between two very clever thieves.

Summary
“Alright, give me your guns. All of you,” Anders said, feeling tired.
“I think I’d rather be arrested, Sheriff,” the stranger said, with a smirk. He set the cards down on the table, all aces and eights, as he held out his wrists.

Summary
“Arthur, darling, are you free after this? I’ve something to show you,” Eames said, casually, a subtle concern in his normally controlled expression.
That seemed dangerous. Whatever had Eames visibly worried was something worth discussing, no matter how late this stupid job had gone.
“Sure.” Arthur agreed. He picked up the rest of his scattered belongings and followed Eames out of the dreary building.

Summary
"Of course, darling! It's one of my prize possessions. Look at how happy you are." Eames vaguely pointed at the middle frame for effect.
"I'm not even smiling," Arthur said, as a small, fond smile lit up the corner of his mouth, threatening to break free.
Unfortunately, they were at work, so Eames didn't expect such a thing to last, but it was a lovely sight.

Summary
The past had a way of crystalizing things, enshrining chances never taken and risks avoided. Back then, he had forced himself to be someone smaller, to hide in the shadows of his own strengths, never reaching out for more. His instincts had pushed him into the dreamworld, had forced him to reforge himself into the efficient man he had become. Those same instincts gnawed at Arthur's insides every time he looked at Eames.
Don't let this one down, they told him.

Summary
Arthur stared up at the dragon. He knew Eames had an unlimited imagination, but this dream was testing the limits of his sanity. Why weren’t the projections rioting, when there was a dragon in plain sight? But everything was quiet, and those huge white eyes demanded an answer.
"I'm looking for Eames," Arthur finally said.
Saito put a long, dangerous claw on his shoulder. "Hmm, you are telling the truth."

Summary
The grave was surprisingly understated. Elegant.
Arthur always underestimated Eames... Or maybe he used to. This was the last and final time Eames would give him something to underestimate. Eames was gone.
Well, more accurately, Arthur thought numbly, he's here. Buried under the dark earthy mud.

“I won’t force you to take anything, my beautiful mage,” Zevran said, and gently put a finger on Anders’ split lip, running it over his lovely mouth. He was careful not to damage Anders further, but felt desperate to give him any comfort he could manage. “You are free to do as you wish. Though, if you would allow me to help you recover from your wounds, to take you somewhere warm, and to watch over you tonight, I would be very grateful. It has been a long week.”

Summary
The human looked at him in surprise. “Oh, hello... What are you doing out here, traveler? Are you looking for something?”
“Yes,” Venom said. It was strange talking out loud. His voice sounded small and stringy in this shape.
The human nodded and waited, clearly expecting something. Venom did not know what. He had never spoken to a human before. They were strange and small and … cute. This one was cute.
