For any The Man From U.N.C.L.E. enthusiast, this fic is a must read. It's the best napollya fic I've ever had the pleasure of reading. The writing style is absolutely gorgeous, combining a heavy melancholy with a forceful undercurrent of suppressed emotion perfect for Illya's POV. The reader experiences Illya's inner struggles and shift in his perception of Napoleon in such a classically him way. The analogies are perfect. The character growth is realistic and gripping. Fantastic premise. Masterful use of musical terminology. Tragic yet hopeful. I would highly recommend it if only for the beautiful writing style.

Quality historical content. Beautiful writing style- nostalgic and weighted in the best of ways. Fantastic characterizations and stellar character interactions. 10/10 would recommend should you be searching for a gripping, thought-provoking Cold War, Russia-centric read!
