Summary
A month and a half after he and Kai were rescued, Lloyd still isn't over the three days he was held captive and tortured by Morro. It's hard to move on when the face of his torturer is none other than that of his once trusted friend, whom he'd regarded as an older brother but now no longer feels safe around.
Kai too can't seem to forget the sensations and memories of his own hands hurting his little brother, and is consumed with guilt and self-hatred over his part in Lloyd's traumatic ordeal, carrying a terrible secret that could forever destroy the once strong bond they shared.
While both try to move on from what happened in their separate ways, supported by their friends and family, neither of them will ever feel whole until they can figure out how to face each other again.

Summary
It is a challenge, but Kai makes it without too much trouble. He hates to do it, but Kai takes a hard look at himself in the mirror. Said mirror is already cracked and Kai has never bothered to clean it, so with Kai’s added instability, and his clouded vision – it is awfully hard to make out any concrete details of his own face.
His initial feeling is disgust. Despite the blurriness – he looks terrible, more terrible than he usually does. He used to care a lot more, before… Well, before. But Kai is pretty sure his revulsion has more to do with the fact that he hates what he sees, and less to do with the alcohol still remaining in his bloodstream.

Summary
⚠️ PART 2 OF A SERIES, SPOILERS FOR PART 1 BELOW ⚠️
After seventy years of tyranny, Emperor Garmadon has been defeated by the ninja during the rebellion's coup. In the aftermath, Ninjago falls apart into factions, headed by the Rebel Council and the Imperial Governors, each group desperate to gain control of the city in the power vacuum left behind.
Kai, after being captured by the rebellion and cut off from his powers, is tasked with bringing the people together before it's too late. Nya seems to be on his side, but with his old imperial allies imprisoned or missing, and the other ninja having complicated feelings about him, it's begun to feel like she's the only one. And if the threat of the annihilation of humanity wasn't enough motivation for him, he also has Lloyd's safety to worry about, whom the rebels only promise to continue to keep safe if Kai follows their commands.
Meanwhile, Lloyd is being carted across Ninjago by his malicious fiancée and her crew of bastards—with the ominous promise that his father is looking forward to seeing him.

Summary
Being possessed and then stabbed by his own teammate and brother had been a bad enough experience for Lloyd, but Morro unfortunately has more misery in store for him; incensed at being defeated and left with nothing but his hatred for the boy who took the destiny he believes should have been his, Morro's goal is nothing less than causing as much pain to Lloyd, both physically and emotionally, as possible... by forcing the person who promised to protect him to be the one to hurt him.
Tl;dr: Morro kidnaps Lloyd and tortures him in various ways while possessing Kai, who can't do anything but watch, and the other ninja try to find out where they are.

Summary
Kai isn't very good with reading or writing. In fact, he's down right illiterate. But that doesn't bother him... most of the time.
Hey, it's not like he's dumb or anything! (at least he hopes that isn't the reason). But when you're forced to drop out of school at six years old to take care of your four year old sister, that kind of stuff isn't exactly your top priority. It's not his fault that he never got to finish the first grade!
Sure, maybe it would have been nice to have had a normal childhood where he wasn't constantly trying to come up with new ways to scrounge up money. And sometimes it could be... difficult... getting by without basic literacy skills. But if Kai could go back in time, he'd choose to do it all over again; anything for his little sister. Besides, it's not like the rest of the ninja will ever find out about his embarrassing secret, right?

Summary
Sixty years ago, Emperor Garmadon took over Ninjago and the age of the Dark Empire began. After years of training, Kai and his companions attempt to finally put a stop to his evil rule, but their mission fails and Kai is the only one left in the ashes of their defeat. He's captured and tortured until the day comes that Emperor Garmadon finds a use for him—to become the personal bodyguard of his only son, Lloyd. Kai agrees with no intention of following through on any of Garmadon's orders, but when he becomes attached to the boy, he starts to believe that with Lloyd there is hope for the future.
But the road to hell is paved with good intentions. With his new life's purpose, to put the boy on a path of good, Kai is faced with the inevitable price of sacrificing his own soul.
All the while, the companions he'd thought long gone work relentlessly to build up a rebellion to face the Empire of the Darkest Night and get revenge for the supposed "death" of their lost friend.

Zane stood frozen. He'd expected to run across Lloyd and Kai, talking about the latest Starfarer comic, enjoying a cone of ice cream, having forgotten to check in. He hadn't expected...
His eyes fixed in absolute horror on the pale hand half shrouded in shadow, splotchy with crimson stains.
In other words: the ninja run across a threat unlike any they've ever faced, leaving one of their own in critical condition.

Summary
What if instead of the 4 OG ninja getting sent to the First Realm, it was Lloyd, Nya, Pixal, Misako, and Darreth instead?
Basically a Hunted rewrite, except they switch places ( the dialogue and things that happen are a different too ) !
And to make things more dramatic… ;) All the ninja lose their powers this time.
I really hope I write this well 🤞

If it wasn't for seeing this a hundred times before, Admiral Donnegan would've been shocked the others had selected this star-struck child as their captain. But he'd seen worse.
Those teams, the ones that chose favorites over qualified, were usually the ones that never finished their term.
(In which Lloyd and Jay's deepest nerdy dreams come true because Starfarer is flippin' real, but this really isn't how they would have liked to find out)
