But he can't go ahead and ruin their friendship by confessiing to them, so he satisfies himself with letting a few bird-like courtship rituals slip out, hoping they won't notice them. What would they do if they did, he wonders? Reciprocate his feelings? Accept him with open arms and kisses?

Summary
Scar got a job at the Cabin Crew Shelter and moved to the city. He’s taken to buying a house with 2 of his friends Grian and Mumbo. They talk a lot over text and play games online together. The 3 of them all found work in the same city and to save money they all agreed to buy a house together.
It’s only after living together that Scar starts catching onto some weird habits that his friends have. Grian goes on late night walks and comes back early morning with the smell of gunpowder and blood. Mumbo has a special freezer in the garage that he will get food out of to cook. The habits might be a little strange, but it’s no weirder than the way Scar is intent on listening to true crime podcasts.
Or:
Scar buys a house with his two friends who he only ever had contact online with. His two friends have some odd habits, but so does Scar. There shouldn’t be any problems with this living arrangement.
