Summary
Martin blinks, and drops the bag of groceries he’d just brought in on the counter a little faster than he was expecting. “...what?”
“Um, sorry, I just— that was bad phrasing. I just.. haven’t been human in a long time. Are you sure you want that? Someone who’s not even human?” Jon looks deeply into his half-empty mug of tea balanced in his lap.
Or,
What do you do when you finally get enough room to reflect on the fact that you haven’t been human in a long, long time? -

Summary
Things had not gotten better in Heaven. Eventually, he got reprimanded for asking why there was a rule against asking questions. There were more reprimands after that, crueler and more patronizing. He only wanted to know.
As he had gotten a little older, Crowley, or well, not-yet-Crowley, had decided that he was getting fed up with the older angels trying to make up useless, pointless rules just to control them.
And the next thing he knew, he was mid air, hurtling through multiple layers of reality, his molecules being ripped apart and reassembled before being torn apart again. His skin felt like it was being rubbed by sandpaper as it fizzled out and in of existence. His soul was burning as he fell, and it hurt horribly.
“Crowley?” Aziraphale asked, apparently for the second time. The name felt wrong. It felt alien, distinctly not-him.

Summary
Aziraphale looked around. He was standing in the courtyard of his old church, which had a few trees but was mostly paved with pebble-laden concrete, which was all slightly blinding in the sunlight. People from the congregation moved around him as if it was an average Sunday after the morning sermon, going in and out of buildings, forming little groups, heading to cars, children running around. The usual.
But Aziraphale didn’t feel like he had when this was the average weekly occurrence; cheerful and looking forward to changing into more comfortable clothing. Instead, it felt more like a sickly sweet poison was smothering him.

Summary
The angel’s face was entirely expressionless except for a very small, almost imperceptible pulling together of his brows. He wasn’t looking at Crowley, just forwards and towards the ground, focused on nothing in particular.
“Oh, angel…” Crowley said softly, slightly sadlyWhile sorting through old letters from, Aziraphale stumbled upon some old assignment letters from Heaven, which reminds him of all the times he’s fallen short. The reaction this leads to is unexpected, but Crowley takes care of him until it passes.

Summary
“I-E-N-C-Eee...” Aziraphale sang under his breath as he sorted through the various paper cluttered on his desk from the past few days.
“—the very best way, to show that you—“ he realized what he was singing and pursed his lips, somewhat embarrassed. Letting out a heavy sigh, he got up and turned on the radio, which was already tuned to the classical station. Hopefully the other music would get the song out.
He’s been successful at leaving behind many habits that he didn’t want to keep, this one wouldn’t be any different.
AKA, Aziraphale gets a religious song from his childhood stuck in his head, which is very annoying until he tells Crowley about it.

Summary
Carlos the Scientist has only recently begun dating the cute radio host of the town of Night Vale, and he is nervous about a very important conversation he feels he must have with Cecil. He is autistic, and he knows this affects his relationships. For instance, he has always felt most comfortable refraining from most kinds of physical affection. But...now he is curious. Scientifically curious. And he wants to invite Cecil to help him explore this (obviously scientific) curiosity, in the best way he knows how...through experimentation!

Summary
Some days, it still feels like a dream. That they are here, together, that they get to have this. A home, a life - a second chance at everything.
It’s been almost two years since the panopticon collapsed in an explosion, almost two years since Jon and Martin woke up… Here. “Somewhere else” they called it then, but now they simply call this place “home”. More precisely, they do so because first and foremost, they are home to each other.
