Kacchan groans, rubbing a palm up his face. Muttering something about wasting time and bone headed morons.
“I don’t know how you wanted me to respond to,” his voice goes high and reedy in an annoying imitation of Izuku’s voice, “oh hey Kacchan I happened to pick up a homeless stranger and offered him my house rent free.”
“I don’t know! I was hoping your better half would be here actually! I might have actually gotten some good advice out of him!”
“Want some good advice?” Kacchan sneers. He’s started to pack up the satchel that’s hanging off his chair. “Take the fucker back to where you found him and drop his ass.”
“I can’t do that though.” Izuku murmurs.
Kacchan narrows his eyes, pushing his slipping glasses up his nose with a single finger. “Why the hell not?”
Izuku grabs the muffin Kacchan had been reaching for, holding it hostage in a desperate attempt to get the other boy to sit and listen. “It’s nearly Christmas, and it’s so cold. He has a bird Kacchan!”
“He’s going to rob you blind.”
“It’d be so cruel to throw him back out!”
“You’ll come crying to me.”
“His bird!”

“So,” Sero continued, seemingly unconcerned with Todoroki’s awkwardness. “Do you have a favorite Marvel superhero?”
It had been established that he liked Loki, but he was more of an antihero than a hero. “Not really,” he said, unable to think of one hero that he liked more than the rest.
“Really?” Sero asked, surprised.
Todoroki nodded. “I kind of just like them all,” he said, shifting his weight from foot to foot in the awkward anxiety shuffle.
He liked that Sero was taking the time to talk to him about Marvel, but it made him nervous at the same time.
“Okay, I can understand that,” Sero said. He smiled at Todoroki. “Mine’s Spiderman.”
Todoroki nodded, fighting off another nervous smile. “Solid choice,” he said.
It was at that moment that Todoroki was struck with a realization:
Sero was actually kind of cute.
His body felt a little warm at the realization, and he tried to act normally. He’d never seen a boy he’d thought was cute just out and about before, and he wasn’t sure what to do with the realization.
Todoroki meets a cute cashier at a new store in the mall and can't help coming back to see him again.
