Now he’s stupid. Now he pulls at the door ten times before bed and still doesn’t feel safe. Now he can’t solve shit.
He’s sixteen. He should be worried about grades, not whether his house is going to flood if he falls asleep.
So when someone says, “This will help,” Shinichi listens.

ladybug was getting worried. VERY, worried. chat noir has started to only pull up to patrol only half time recently, and he cut it short every time. during battles it was like he wasn't focused, careless, he even stopped making those ridiculous jokes. and as much as ladybug complained about them, it was just off without them. everything was just... off lately. she tried asking if something was wrong, she really did, but he shut her down every time. everything was 'fine,' as he would say.
as for chat noir, even after three years it seems like he still hasn’t gotten over his mother’s death. well, you never get over death. you simply move on. and he did… but now it was bad again. he missed his mom so badly, he hated his dad. he was beginning to despise school and fencing. starting to hate all of his friends and ladybug. he was just always mad, and snapped easily. but he didn’t want to face his problems. it’ll pass.

adrien hates his life and is going through his second depression episode, although this time it’s worse

Justice killing for your best friend is great and all, until it lands you a prison sentence. Aka, Mac kills Uncle Jack and gets sent to prison, and Charlie realises how much he falls apart without him.

"Just see this whole problem as a love story. This really cool, dramatic, badass love story between two best friends, that starts when he kills Jack. This blip with Frank and the bail issue? That's just like, the complication in the plot that comes in the first half. Right? And sure, at some point there's probably gonna be something that sucks so bad, it'll be the big bad part of the story that everyone is like holy shit at. But in the end? Love stories end up turning out good. In fact, the story will probably end up with Mac getting out of prison, either after eleven years or sooner if we make the money, and you two get to have this big movie kiss. Like, a dramatic running towards each other sort of thing, leaping into each other's arms... That's how these sort of stories go. They don't stay bad forever," Dennis explained.
Charlie's eyes widened softly. "What if it's a tragedy?"

The golden sun outside was reaching its peak in the sky, casting beams of light through the intricate stained glass windows. Watercolour rainbow ripples of light beat down onto Charlie and Mac, casting them in a pool of saturation and beauty, the stillness of the building surrounding them quiet and still, serene.
Mac brought his face from Charlie's neck and looked at him, only to see the array of colours being cast onto his face from the movement of day outside. His freckles seemed to gain high definition, swollen pink lips and sweaty red cheeks lit up in varying hues.
"What the fuck, you're so..." Mac trailed off, voice a little unstable.
"What? Sinful?" Charlie prompted. He couldn't see what Mac could see, couldn't tell that it was currently love in his eyes and not just lust. "In need of repentance?"
"Beautiful."
"...Oh."
