But who wouldn’t, really? His fingertips were flat and square, the perfect end to the slender, ring-adorned fingers. His veins were prominent, there was a scar on his left pointer finger running up its whole side, tattoos were barely visible below his flannel, and it all made Steve want to study Eddie’s hands, to hold them and taste them and feel them on his own.
The cigarette was passed to him, and Steve ignored the thoughts. He was tipsy and just a little bit high. All he had to do was get through a few more hours alone with Munson without embarrassing himself.

Sam wouldn’t be happy to admit that, even after he realized it’s presence, he did not try to hinder the ache in his heart. It would pang when his prisoner’s wails managed to make it through the lava. He would slowly grow to be aware of his softness. More willingness to bandage wounds, a growing generosity with food, a lack of harshness in his orders.
He would realize how dangerous it was. He knew better than anyone what letting your guard down around Dream could lead to. But he couldn’t help but leave it to fester, to watch himself become more of a caretaker than a keeper.

Language was something that took some adjustment for Technoblade. Coming from a tribe of Piglins, English itself was a challenge, the different tenses and pronouns and many little words that went between the big ones. It was a lot, but his environment didn’t give much breathing room, so he learned.
