I wrote this as Succession season four came to an end, inspired by the idea that Matsson was subtly outplaying the Roys. Admittedly, after ‘Tailgate Party’ I was worried that he was gonna end up as devoid of strategy as they were, but nonetheless, this fic tells the story behind the subterfuge and strategy of Lukas and his GoJo tricksters, from the POV of the original character Lukas falls for.
