And he had to ensure it would not happen again.

Summary
Interrupting her thoughts came Nick Cutter, a man whose company she was enjoying save for the context. He was insightful yet stubborn, bound to be butting heads with all the wrong people and making her workday a strenuous one. She quite liked him.

A little slither of what Claudia and Nick could have looked like between the first two episodes.

Summary
"Sounds like Angelus played some different games, over here."
Xander thinks about what happened to Ms. Calendar, about how messed up Giles was afterward. He thinks about the terror they’d all felt, waiting for one of them to be next. He thinks about dragging Giles out of that mansion, about his fucked up fingers and the fear in his eyes when Xander had appeared in front of him.
Games. That’s one way to put it.
