“Is he now?” he said as Gansey went on a small but loving rant about how awful Ronan was in the morning, and suddenly Ronan couldn’t think about anything but waking up next to Adam with his fingers tracing circles on his ribs, his voice rumbling quietly under his ear, how he had thought I could get used to this.

For all his hyperactive thought, his nitpicking and overanalysis, his introspective scrutiny, he'd danced the outskirts of this dilemma by claiming age a hindrance.
