Summary
There's something weird about Beacon Hills that Stiles can't quite put his finger on. The way everyone in town knows his name the day he arrives. The way they insist the melancholic howling that echoes through the forest every night is just a dog. The way his dad denies getting a dog, even though Stiles comes home to find one sprawled across his bed, some big black thing whose eyes gleam red in the right light. The way that massive oak tree out in the woods vibrates under his touch, pulsing with sickly life.
There's something weird going on in this town, and Stiles is determined to get to the bottom of it.

Summary
Michael Shelley suffered from misophonia. That, almost as much as witnessing Ryan's death, pushed him towards the Spiral. When he became the vessel of the Throat of Delusion, though, he forgot what misophonia even meant.
When Helen Richardson kicks him out of the Spiral and back into the Magnus Institute, Michael has to wrestle with everything that means: being alive, being legally dead, being the empty vessel of a god of madness and fear, and still being terrified of small, insignificant sounds. To add insult to injury, he's still tied to the Archives, and to the Archivist, whom he resents on principle.
Jon isn't another Gertrude, though. He shares some of Michael's fears and uncertainties; he also shares some of Michael's other sensitivities. If Michael has to live a life he didn't want to return to, he could have done worse than having to spend some of it with Jon. But the Archives are still the Archives, and the Entities are still the Entities. Freedom from their influence is always, in Michael's experience, an illusion. Especially for the Archivist... and anyone close to him.
No amount of noise-canceling headphones can protect Michael and Jon against the Fears forever.

Summary
Odin has spent years teaching Loki to be strong and self-sufficient, unlike stereotypical omega depictions in media. Still, when Loki decides to take his life in his own hands instead of following in his father’s footsteps to become a surgeon, Odin disapproves.
When Loki’s life plans land him halfway across the country taking care of a stranger’s baby, he can’t help but wonder if he’s in almost exactly the situation Odin was trying to warn him away from.

Summary
The voice gets under his skin. Is it pleasing or terrifying? Inside his head or out? Is it even real, or is his still-human brain just cobbling monster-sounds into something he can comprehend?
It’s impossible to get out of his head, whether literal or not.
Doesn’t matter, though, because the answer Michael gives is a terrible one, and ends the same way: Gertrude could protect herself, Jon can’t, and he’s going to die for her sins.
