Summary
Viktor’s plan to get himself banned from those ridiculously pompous galas went as follows:
-Wear the most revealing, most scandalous outfit he could.
-Wear the most makeup he could apply to himself without messing up.
-Be as rude and sarcastic as he could possibly be to everyone.
This plan was sure to get him banned from galas forever, Viktor was convinced of it. And sure, maybe he also felt at least a tiny bit bad for making Jayce clean up his mess afterwards, but he had insisted Viktor go to this gala, so if anything, he was partly to blame for this. He should have known Viktor would only agree to go under his own conditions.
Or: How Viktor's foolproof plan to stop getting invited to fancy parties totally backfires on him and turns him into Piltover's most elegible bachelor. And how he ends up dragging Jayce into it.

Summary
Viktor is not the leader of the Haven community, no matter what Mel and Caitlyn say, but he does act as the spokesman when they're forced to deal with the other clans that roam the wastes. So when Ambessa Medarda and her warband show up at Haven's gates with a prisoner for trade, it's Viktor who goes to negotiate with her. Much to his shock, her prisoner turns out to be Jayce, whom Viktor has long known to be dead. But in the intervening years, Jayce has become something dangerous and feral, and he no longer remembers Viktor.
Obviously, Viktor isn't going to leave Jayce in the cruel hands of the Noxians, but he both longs for and dreads the moment that Jayce's memories return, because he knows that will be the moment that he loses Jayce again, forever.

Summary
The idea comes so suddenly and such a perfect solution all at once that Jayce feels like an idiot for not suggesting it the moment he heard Viktor was on a visa. Something must show on his face, because Viktor’s expression morphs from frustration and defeat to confusion before settling on exasperation.
“Absolutely not.”
“Why not?” Jayce asks, taking a large swallow of his coffee and bouncing back on his heels.
Viktor puts a hand up to his face, covering it for a moment. The tips of his ears are red. “I believe that would be, how do you say it, marriage fraud.”
“What other option is there? You’re already my partner.”
“Partner in science, Jayce.”
“And now we can be partners in marriage!”

'Jayce doesn’t know how long he watches the pair of them. It starts to rain. Jayce doesn’t care. He watches this tableau of a life he will never live. A Viktor he will never know. A Jayce he will never be. He wonders briefly if this Jayce knows how lucky he is to have Viktor. He must do. He always knows.'
Jayce ends up stopping somewhere else on his way back to his timeline. He gets to see a glimpse of a life he can never have and a chance to see a Viktor he doesn't have to raise his hammer to.

“Walking?” The golden-eyed man arched one perfect brow, gaze pointedly flickering towards the pile of books in his arms. “In the dark? With half the library?”
Jayce flushed. If his hands weren’t fully occupied, he might have hidden behind them.“Uh…Yeah,” He said haltingly. “I was at the library, doing some work, but it closed, so I was headed back to my—Are you alright? That seemed a little…he didn’t hurt you, did he?”
Those brilliant eyes widened just a fraction, pouty lips parting in a silent ‘oh.’ He clearly hadn’t expected that—the care, or perhaps, the interest. In an instant, the hall was flooded with the scent of summer—strawberries, vanilla, honey cake. Omega.Jayce Talis thought love was pointless until he met Viktor. Viktor just wants the

The prisoner startled, levered himself up and hissed through his teeth. “Right, that wasn’t the smartest decision I’ve made this week,” he remarked quietly. “Scar? Are you across from me?”
Shuffling in the opposite cell. “Can you do me a favor?” a second voice asked. “The next time you threaten guards, can you try to have a weapon first to strike fear into their hearts? I think you broke our hand.”
“We have another,” the man said defensively, and Scar huffed a laugh. “And anyway– oh. There’s someone else in here with me.”
