Summary
(Friede doesn’t remember falling from the Brave Olivine. He doesn’t remember the ones he called his children, or his friends, the Rising Volt Tacklers. These memories have been stolen from him.)
All he remembers is that, last year, he was married to the love of his life, a man named Spinel. He stays at home, nowadays, while his husband works as the chairman of the company they both used to work for.
Except…there’s a black hole in the middle of his life—a gap in where his memories should be. He will wish he never recovered them.

Summary
When Spinel had first declared Amethio dead, she hadn’t wanted to believe it. She’d wanted to believe he was still alive; that he was somewhere out there, hiding from Exceed’s prying eyes. He hadn’t died in Laqua—that much was certainly false—but she had no way of knowing if Spinel had managed to kill him afterwards. Given the timing of the announcement—which was four months later—Liko had assumed that had ended up being the case. That Amethio had died, alone in some alleyway, for daring to get in Spinel’s way.
But according to Zirc and Onia, she’d been right to hope. Amethio was still alive, and Spinel still couldn’t find him. Unfortunately, that meant neither could anyone else.
Or: Amethio is missing. Zirc and Onia enlist Liko's help in finding him.

Don’t think about Roy right now, he scolded himself. He kicked you out, remember? Because you’re ‘too messy’ or something stupid like that.And honestly, he’d never given Uruto a straight answer when he’d asked how the older boy had learned all of this. Just like he never did when he asked about anything important to the mission, or who exactly the Rising Volt Tacklers were, or anything that Uruto couldn’t see and experience for himself in the moment. Neither Roy nor anyone else ever answered his questions directly, and it was starting to get on his nerves.

It was one thing to be chasing legends. Her grandmother had been chasing the tales of Lucius since she was Liko’s age, and it had made her an incredible adventurer. Liko herself had gone on an adventure chasing the legends of Lucius, Laqua, and Terapagos. But to find out that those legends were part of her family history…that was something entirely different.
She raised a hand towards the ceiling, wondering dimly if she could touch it if she only sat up. She knew, objectively, that the ceiling of the Brave Olivine was twice as tall as she was, but in the foggy shape of the night, it looked much closer. Lucius is my ancestor. I’m related to him. Grandma’s pendant was Terapagos, which was Rystal’s Pokémon…and Rystal was Lucius’s wife? Partner? But outside of that, who was she? What did she think of Gibeon?Or: Late at night, Liko spirals. She thinks of her newly-discovered ancestry, its implications, and a moment of connection shared in a cave.
