Kurt Wagner’s life has become (relatively) steady: he’s got friends, classes, a routine, a place to sleep(even if he turns it down for the roof), a burgeoning mom/cool aunt figure in the woman who might actually be his mother, and even a crush who’d never in a million years like him back. Pietro ‘Peter’ Maximoff has reached a level of stability hitherto undreamt of: friends, classes, a sweet pad, an awkward relationship with the terrorist that was his birth father, and a foreign language grade that doesn’t suck abysmally thanks to the help of a really cute boy who he can actually catch his breath around. Classic school stuff, right?
Until Peter vanishes in the middle of the night, and both of them realize just how far they’re willing to go for the people they love. They’re not going to let each other go so easily. Not without a fight.
The night before Peter disappeared, Jean had woken up screaming.

Summary
To his absolute horror, the deadbolt on the kitchen door turns on its own. Peter watches in slow motion as the door creeps open and a figure appears on the other side, decked out in a trench coat and fedora like some sort of private detective.
Peter’s father steps through the threshold.
Peter’s standing there like an idiot with sticky fingers, brandishing a steak knife at him.
Peter’s father—Erik—notices this and stares at him, shocked. Peter is glad at this moment to have one-upped the man, but that’s quickly overridden by the emotional weight of the fact that his dad is standing right there, not ten feet from him. And Peter’s kinda threatening him with a weapon. A metal one. His dad, the terrorist, the guy who can move metal. Metal that belongs to the knife. The knife which Peter holds. Iron in the air, blood in his mouth (maybe for real this time).
Peter drops the knife as if it were burning him, and it clatters to the ground.

Rising anti-Mutant sentiments—especially in the D.C. area—have made Peter’s mother decide that sending him away would be the safest thing for him, especially considering his involvement in breaking Magneto out of prison.

Summary
The year is 2003, and Dean Winchester and his dad are estranged from the youngest member of their family, Sam. Still bitter, Dean feels a bit better when his father allows him to go out and do a job by himself, and he's even more ecstatic when he's given the Impala in the process. Of course, as the job goes on, Dean learns that he's a little out of his league when he stumbles across a freaking demon, along with a demon hunting man by the name of John Constantine. Though Constantine is surprised, he's open to the help in the form of a Hunter, while Dean decides that Constantine is better help than nothing when it comes to fighting a demon, something way out of his league. Both men work together to determine the best way to stop the demon, while also learning a bit about each other along the way...
