“I’ll inform KP you won’t be coming back in for a little while now. You still can don’t get me wrong, but I think we might be a little preoccupied in Toronto.” They shake hands, and Nick reaches out to clap Cole on the side of his shoulder. “Officer Caufield, you’re a lot shorter than I expected.”
Cole rolls his eyes playfully and shakes his head. “And you look like the rejected member of The Cure. What’s good, Detective?”
“Call me Nick. Or whatever you want, just not Detective.”
“Everyone just calls me Cole.”
And then he was gone, leaving Cole alone in the coffee shop once again. Even though the circumstances are strange and he hardly knows this guy, here’s something about the case that just feels right.
Or wrong, depending on how you look at it.

Summary
Ryan Leonard doesn’t mean to let Aiden Celebrini into his life.
It just happens.
Slowly, quietly, somewhere between Boston mornings and summer nights that stretch too long.
Ryan is still carrying the ghost of the boy he loved first. Aiden is still learning how to live with the things he’s lost.
Neither of them calls what they have love.
But sometimes healing looks a lot like learning how to exist in the place where someone else already hurt you—and letting someone new carve out a space there anyway.

Summary
Aiden doesn’t remember the first time it happened very clearly. Just a loss to BC, too many drinks, and Ryan Leonard’s mouth against his neck in a dark frat house bedroom.
The second time happens after the Frozen Four—after heartbreak, after confessions, after realizing some feelings were never meant to be returned.
The third time happens on a rainy summer night in Boston, when Ryan shows up soaked to the bone at Aiden’s door with nowhere else to go.
Neither of them are over the people they loved. Neither of them planned for this.
But somehow, they keep finding their way back to each other anyway.

Summary
Will was his best friend. He knew him in a way that felt almost unfair, like he could read the things Mack didn't even say out loud. On the ice, off the ice—it didn't matter. Will always knew.
He knew what he needed.
When he needed it.
How to give it.

Summary
"Will?" Macklin whispers softly and Will hums in response, forgetting how to talk for a second. "I think we're stupid."
Will snorts loudly, leaning down and pressing his forehead to Macklin's collarbone, both of their bodies shaking with soft giggles.
Or, they're in love and codependent your honor

Summary
Will has a tendency to fall in love with things the way only boys raised on promises of paradise and unbearable guilt can, unknowingly and devastatingly complete.
He sometimes wonders if wanting something can ever be clean, if desire and goodness can ever coexist inside his body. He tells himself that it doesn’t matter anymore, but maybe he’s just learned to lie so convincingly he starts to believe it.
Because the guilt always comes back in the end, it claws at his chest, while the fear settles low in his stomach and panic makes it hard to breathe, and it all just leaves his heart aching like a wound that never heals.
But then there’s Mack, who makes Will want to break every rule he’s ever been taught.
