King Dark Cacao Cookie doesn’t speak much. This is generally known amongst his people, and no offense is taken when not every greeting is returned directly. His Majesty has always appreciated actions over words.
You’ll imagine the shock the inhabitants of the Citadel felt when the agonised screams began echoing through the castle every night. Screams of a tortured man that had been fighting his so-called demons alone for far too long.
Yet, only one knight was brave enough to ask.. and offer a solution.

The king looked into those shining eyes with the color of the first fallen snow, that smirk, the corners of his lips that quivered with some impatience. Cheeks that blazed with fire, not at all from the harsh frost.
Affogato reached out, very eagerly approaching his king's pursed lips, blinking charmingly.. the advisor did not at all expect the initiative being taken from him.

Once Bilbo has ambled off, Fíli turns to Kíli, who’s still crunching away at his apple unconcernedly. “… He was just joking, right?”
“Of course he was,” Kíli dismisses. “He’s Bilbo, the sharpest mind in the entire Company. It’s not like he could have missed the fact that Uncle’s been courting him since the end of the Battle. He’s just having us on!”

In which Bilbo is getting slightly exasperated with the fact that no one will tell him why he has such a big role in Thorin's wedding, what he is supposed to be doing there, and who Thorin's betrothed is. And is also a little confused about why the thought of Thorin marrying someone else bothers him so much.

Summary
Piled stacks of paperwork are organized chaotically around the Dark Cacao’s desk. With nausea creeping up on him, doing paperwork is nearly impossible. Not to mention that everyone needed him in the early morning, as well as still having much to finish; and it was only noon. Dark Cacao struggles silently, luckily, someone seems to take notice.
