But sometimes, there's a crack in his armor. And sometimes, an insult lands in that weak spot and causes it to splinter even more, spreading like a spiderweb across the DNA of who he is.
Even the strongest aren't spared from insecurities–and insecurities don't discriminate. His eat him alive when the lights have dimmed and the darkness of the night secures a foothold in his heart.

Seungmin starts noticing more things he used to dismiss. The way Chan hums the tunes of his favorite songs and of some of his own under his breath when he’s editing the track. The way he pinches the bridge of his nose or scrunches it when he’s stressed at how the sound isn’t up to par with his vision. The way he makes a distinct squeaky sound with his lips when he’s looking for a specific sample track in his sound library, or when he’s concentrating. The way his hand lingers a moment too long on Seungmin’s back when he’s laughing at his stupid(ly witty) dad jokes.
...Seungmin, not brave enough to ask if Chan is just as observant, doesn’t.
Thanks to the intimate, late–night studio sessions, Seungmin inevitably falls for Chan, only to be pushed away when rumors make them keep their distance. Left with a finished duet too raw, too personal to release, they’re faced with the question of whether something so quiet can still be called love.
