Summary
Simon sits by the same man on the train to work most mornings, and watches him do his crossword puzzle. In many ways these fifteen minutes are the best part of his day, and if he could just get his act together, maybe he could introduce the concept of "conversation" into both their lives...but that's easier said than done. Perhaps a slight intervention, by way of a train delay, might help? If they can survive Thursday's commute without serious injury, it might turn out to be the best (awkward) train journey, yet.

It's been three months since the merger. Simon Snow, once perfectly happy with his meaningless desk job, now dreads coming to work. His boxy little office has been replaced with a modern, spacious, glass-walled prison he must share with the new boss's son. As if things couldn't get worse, said CEO's son―Baz “Don't touch my fucking ruler” Pitch―informs him they must plan an office party together to celebrate the merger. The good news: the view from their sixty-first floor office is fantastic. The bad news: Simon isn't sure he can spend one more day in close proximity to Baz without strangling him. (Or kissing him. Or pinning him against the photocopier. But that's neither here nor there.)
