They glare at each other for a moment, a foot apart, breathing heavily. Both of them are spitting mad, and neither one of them is going to back down. George’s eyes shift to Dream’s mouth for a fraction of a second. (He can feel Dream’s breath. It’s annoying.)
“Why do you have to be so fucking obnoxious all the time,” Dream grits out. It isn’t a question.
“You’re the one who’s making me look like an idiot in front of Coach. You’re the one who’s done nothing but cause problems since mmph–”
Right when he’s talking, Dream rudely interrupts him by surging forward and pressing their lips together.
—or, dream is the annoying new guy on george’s swim team. he might be… conventionally attractive, and kind of funny, and occasionally nice, but george doesn’t have a crush on him. not even a little.

“What- and if I say I want it to be romantic?”
”Then it’ll be romantic.” Dream’s thumb caressed over George’s soft skin. He slowly leaned in, and George didn’t have the heart to stop him. He didn’t have the heart to get out of the bed and say that it really has to stop.
He lets Dream’s lips meet his, he lets himself melt against the contact. He even leans closer. Does this make him a bad person?
He feels the tears prick at his eyes, sliding down his cheeks and shimmering in the moonlight as he kisses Dream. Is it so bad that he thinks Dream is right for him?
Or… George is in love with Dream, he can’t stop dreaming or thinking about him. Dream notices and makes a move.

Summary
He's so lost in the music that he doesn't hear the door open, doesn't hear the heavy thud of a dance bag dropping, doesn't hear approaching footsteps. Even as he travels around the whole room, his eyes never see the figure watching him, never feel the eyes which are burning into him.
George just stands in the corner of the room, jaw literally agape at the way Dream is dancing. The solo is amazing. Better than any solo he's done before. The way Dream moves is mesmerizing, every muscle looks like it was built to do this choreography, moving smoothly and sharply perfectly in sync with the music. George can feel a passion in the way Dream is dancing, a passion which he didn't see in the audition. He feels a heat rush over his cheeks and pays it no mind.

Strong emotions mix together with toxic simplicity. When Dream joins George's dance studio close to competition and steals his spotlight, he doesn't know how to feel. He's never felt anger like this before, but he can't figure out why it feels so different.
