Lena lets out a careful breath and says, “James and I have decided to end our— association.”
What a perfectly weird and roundabout way to describe the end of a romantic relationship, Kara thinks. “Oh?” she says, aptly demonstrating her own comparative lack of eloquence.
It earns her one of Lena’s crinkly smiles at least, affection clear on her best friend’s face. “Should I feel offended that you don’t seem all that surprised?” she flusters.
“No,” Kara says, “I am,” and she is, is the thing, she's actually stunned, but she’s something else, much more than that.
She’s elated.
“Bummer,” Kara says.

“And I didn’t know you were still capable of that level of naivety.” Lena’s mouth twisted slightly, not a smile. More a betrayal of her effort not to look disgusted. “But that’s the thing, isn’t it? Either you’re dumber than I thought, or more calculated than I gave you credit for. Pick your brand of damage.”

In the distance, they heard the reverberation of a motorcycle as it entered the courtyard. Uncle Fester had arrived.
“Go bring our little wolf home, darling.”

Canon-compliant up until the point where Enid digs up Wednesday from under the skull tree in S2E8, I didn't like her running away.
WIP - So far the fic is focused primarily on Wenclair and Wednesday & Enid's personal developments as the show's story continues. It will later also explore their friendship with Agnes, Capri and the Nightshades.
Major Character Death doesn't apply to Enid, Wen or Agnes if you're worried & will happen in chapter that I paln to release way later from now.
