This is how Lucy found herself safely tucked in bed, between her boys, enjoying the giving and receiving of soft kisses, lingering touches, the whispered words from both sides assuaging her insecurities with phrases describing her beauty and perfection. She sometimes still had doubts, but on nights like these those thoughts were banished to a small box in her mind that simply drifted away.
