Summary
Jisung turns his head to give Minho an angry squint. “I feel like you’re trying to trick me. I don’t know how, or for what reason, but you are.”
Minho isn’t looking at him anymore, scrolling on his phone, gracing Jisung with his ridiculous side profile. “I would never trick you,” he says, voice as flat as the plains of Colorado.
“That sounds like something someone who’s trying to trick me would say.”
“Jisung.”
“What.”
“Come here.” He clicks his phone off and sets it on the nightstand between their beds, then pats his thigh.
“What?” Jisung short circuits for a moment. Minho wants him to… what? Sit on his thigh? Isn’t that a little forward? That has to be skipping at least ten steps. They’ve only known each other for, like, less than 72 hours. And a majority of that was spent antagonizing one another.
“I said come here.” And he pats his thigh again as if that’s a completely normal thing to do.

Summary
“I come with some less than pleasant news,” Mr. Choi surveys the house as he enters, moving to the living room to sit down on the couch. “It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you of your father’s passing.”
Jisung hears the words. He hears the words and they make sense. They process in his mind, he turns them over once, as though he was just told it’d rain later today and he should dress accordingly. He feels a pang of sadness, for the loss of life, but it leaves just as quickly.
OR
Jisung is forced to join an organization his father used to work for with some less than savory tasks at hand, and Minho’s there to show him that maybe not everyone in this place is evil. Until all of a sudden he’s not, and Jisung is alone all over again.

Summary
Half an hour in, Jisung’s nose picks up the aromas lingering around the room again. Minho's scent envelops all of his senses, eases the pain in his lower back and the headache pounding at the front of his brain. When he looks at Minho again, the patches on his neck are still plastered over his skin, but he’s missing the one on his right wrist.
Comfort wraps around him and settles in the lining of his muscles, the tissue of his bones. He’s so drowsy, Jisung feels like drifting off and curling around himself to hopefully catch up on his missing hours of sleep, but he has to work, he has to talk with Minho and–
“Sleep, Jisungie. I’ll work on this, okay? It’s my field. You rest for a bit.”
or; Jisung can't sleep. But then he pairs up with Minho for a school project, and his whole world shifts around him.

Summary

Summary
One day, just like Jisung has always known it would, the dam breaks.
It’s messy, ugly in the way his chest heaves and tears burn down his face when he stumbles off the stage, hands aching from how tight they’re balled into fists, his fingernails digging crescents into his palms.
His throat is raw and sore when he clings to Minho in the dark, as he tells him quietly that he’ll die if he doesn’t get out. Not forever, he shakes in Minho’s arms, just for a little while. He has to get out.
And like a manifestation of Jisung’s deepest fantasies, Minho rubs the space between his shoulders and whispers that they’ll go, then. Both of them.
Or: A year-long hiatus and a house on Jeju Island.

Summary
When Minho went to buy groceries, he saw Jisung’s face on the cover of a magazine at checkout. Hands shaking, he picked it up. It was their newest issue. Jisung’s face was smooth, flawless. He looked perfect. He looked like a stranger. Minho was filled with the sudden urge to cry. He didn’t.
If Minho had to describe Jisung in one page, nothing in the magazine would’ve made the cut. Jisung was a force of nature. He was the storm and the sun after rain. He was stubborn and wonderful and kind. Minho loved him still and knew at that moment that he always would — in silence, in loneliness, through phone and TV screens.
My superstar, he thought, and tried to smile even as it felt like his heart was breaking all over again. Mine, and everyone else’s.

Summary
The barrel of the gun presses against his forehead, and Jeongin swallows thickly as the other assesses him. There’s a moment of silence before something crinkles, and Jeongin is quick to realize what the stranger is holding in his free hand is the wrapper of the Twinkie he just ate. His heart sinks fast into his ass.
It’s so fucking quiet. Jeongin can hear the static from the radio that’s still on. He can hear his own heartbeat thumping in his ears. His fingers tick in fear as he waits for impending doom.
And then finally, finally, the stranger’s voice is a nasally whine when he asks, “Did you eat my fucking Twinkie, dude?!”
…Fuck the apocalypse.

Summary
"Who are you writing all of these love songs about?"
The question is asked in the recording booth before every comeback. Sometimes it's the sound engineer with a laugh. Once it was an intern who had to forward the lyrics to the higher-ups. It's very often Changbin who drops it like a passing joke, just happy enough to have some lyrics on paper before a deadline. And it's almost always Chan, whose eyes light up and dim just as quickly when Jisung shrugs his shoulders, mutters about it being about a friend they hadn't met or about the leads from a drama he was watching.
But when Minho stays in the studio long after he was needed, melts into the hoodie Jisung could swear he had been wearing for the past four days and asks the question as though he were asking about the weather, the very walls of the recording booth begin to shatter.

Minho twists around so that the chains of his swing are crossed, staring Jisung dead on with his eyebrows raised. “Um. Okay? I’m not trying to sleep with you.”
Shame burns deep in Jisung’s insides, through the cavity of his chest, between his bones. “I–I know,” he stutters. “I’m–” swallowing back bile, something sharp. “Sorry, I don’t know why I said that.”

Summary
The thing about Han Jisung, Lee Minho learns quickly, is that he’s difficult to predict.
For the most part, Minho finds it easy to fall into his high-energy moods with him, the two of them bouncing off each other until another member has to bring them down.
But there are times when he can’t. Times when Jisung’s mood switches too quickly, sinks too far or rises too fast and Minho can’t keep up.
Nevertheless, he tries.
