“Gimme,” he snaps, shaking an outstretched servo impatiently.
“Alright, alright, it’s not gonna run away,” Optimus says under his breath, ex-venting heavily as he gets to his pedes and hands over what is now once again a regular-degular handgun.Megatron has another nightmare. Optimus fires his gun. These two things are unrelated.

i genuinely dont even know where to begin. its . perfect. its just so good. i was grinning ear to ear the whole time oh my god i need to weite my long arse review after my exam but This was so wonderful. Everybody should read. I cant stop smiling. GUN. malleable metal, hot and under pressure. i would become anything you want me to be. There are servos on Megatron’s plating. Elita One’s hands, and Ironhide’s, and Bumblebee’s and Prowl’s, all of them required to remove him from the one place he needs to be – on top of Optimus Prime, beating the ever-loving scrap out of him, and replacing it with sense and loyalty.
“Can you not think?” He hisses. “Do you not understand that no other mech can come rising back to life with a Matrix in his chest? Are you incapable of understanding the actual consequences of death?”
“We are at war," Optimus spits. When he speaks, the energon running from his nose to his lips is flung in spittles. "People take risks.”
“You take risks.” Megatron grabs Optimus’s forehead and shoves him back into the floor. “You take risks for them. With them."

the land locked martian tear tax strikes again. incredible post tfone exploration, quintesson war but also the beginnings of their own war. a build up and break down of both respective sides...its bleek man. except in the classic detail-filled llm writing fashion, its not. i.....they make me sad. i thought i could evade it this time but i could not. i need to recover first hold on.
okay. this piece was actually a bit of puzzle for me. at the beginning i was chewing on it, trying to shift the puzzle pieces and character blocks in my mind to match with this idea of orion pax. BECAUSE ITS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM I EXPECTED. fascinatingly so. and then i got to the "im a prime" "you're just a miner" part and it all fell in place. FEATURING: TFONE OPTIMUS the INFINITE DREAMER and TFONE MEGATRON the ANCHOR. land locked martian has a habit of using incorporeal abstractions as a metaphor for grief. i.e. something in the drivers seat...and it hits really hard every single time. upon merging Now it's misery, now it's misery, it's misery now. i wonder if optimus has the 'loud and eager and wide-opticked' orion pax that haunts him too. because contrary to megatron's belief, optimus has very much changed. the reminiscing and belief that they were each others balancing halves got me good though. or, Bad i guess. "He had wanted to be the one whose hand Orion would grab and pull, off into the next big risk" and the idea that they weren't made for this. i think, despite some other d16 interpretations, he found some identity and value in being the one to bring orion back. oooh definitely identity actually. thats the ghost. thats the thing under the table.....AND. AND. And. im not done yet. And its the way that their love is always there in llm fics. it didnt change anything, it didnt save anybody, but it was still there. and the way optimus doesn't even see his confession as a surprise, he knows this, because the love Has been there...
im definitely going to reread this with the more concrete interpretations of them in my mind and hello? hello? what was that?? hello frostbitesjc ? can you hear me...... can you hear that ? our fate is calling...... it sounds so wonderfully divine, a destined meeting written into the sites very unicode. you're just like me.....you're just like Me. may we meet in the next land locked martian fic bookmarks......
