Val jumped up immediately to answer it. “You got here so fast, good boy,” he cooed, ushering the smaller demon inside and closing the door quickly behind him. Almost like he wanted to trap him in there. Angel was wearing a thin pink robe, hardly enough to cover anything. Val pushed him across the floor, sweet-talking him the whole time, but it was hard to miss the way the spider demon’s face fell when he entered the bedroom and saw Vox partially undressed on the bed. Immediately he became more resistant, and Val had to push him a little harder.
“Val,” the spider hissed, looking away from Vox’s unamused expression. “You coulda told me.”
