“Yeah, whatever, mate,” Tangerine sighed, looking skyward for guidance only to receive a massive fuck you as the fluorescent lights burned holes into his retinas, temporarily spotting his vision.
He listened as Lemon let out a low sigh, the sound of it grading against Tangerine’s nerves as he realized that they were wasting time.
Any second now, Ladybug would be rummaging through luggage, searching for the briefcase—snatching it and inevitably restarting this whole mind fuck of a day. It didn’t matter if Tangerine managed to avoid getting shot to death; he'd end up with his arms chopped off once they reached Kyoto if the case and the White Death’s son weren’t intact. Then, instead of being treated to the peaceful release of death, he’d end up here again, sitting in front of Lemon with two packets of fucking biscuits clutched in his hands as he’d no doubt try to fight off the trauma of dying and coming back to life like he was fucking Jesus Christ himself.
It was complete and utter bullshit.
Or: Tangerine gets stuck in a time loop.

"Well, I have a grandson to love, no doubt I'll love him more than you, but that isn't really a high bar to meet, is it?" Prime waved a goodbye at the camera, at Rick. Rick threw his flask at the hologram screen, shattering the screen behind it.
Rick Prime may not be grandfather of the year, but he cares enough about his Morty to not let him kill himself, even if for his own ego. (Morty Prime kills himself after a particularly rough argument with his own Rick (C-137), but instead of dying, he somewhat bonds with his original Rick.)

“W-w-w-what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be…”
“Dead?” Rick Prime filled in. Prime cracked a smile, “Seriously? You think I let some evil version of you and dead-wife guy kill me? Come on, use your head.”
He flicked Morty's forehead, and the boy flinched, but surprisingly his skull was still intact. It didn’t even hurt that much. Rick Prime's grin widened.
“Nah, I just let them think they killed me. Set up a whole dramatic death scene, and now I'm retired!” Prime spread his arms, clearly referencing the red and blue Hawaiian print shirt he was wearing.
“R-retired?”
Or, I really like the concept of Prime coming back and kidnapping his grandson to try and get in some family bonding, because Morty needs a good parental figure in his life. Is Morty happy about this development? That remains to be seen. So, here's a retelling of Season 9 Episode 8
