Summary
Haley had her life all figured out. She'd study photography, find success in the big city, and never return to the drab little valley she'd known all her life. She’d always believed she was meant for more than the people around her, so it never once crossed her mind that she might end up just like them: Stuck in Stardew Valley with crushed dreams, boring routines, and no hope for the future.
After everything she planned for her life came crashing down on her, there's only one thing that can drag her, and her almost-pro-gridball-star friend, out of their misery and back onto the path of happiness: The new farmer in town.
With the weight of falling in love, community pressure, and her desire for success heavy on her shoulders, Haley must overcome her own internal challenges to figure out what she really wants in life, and if her wildest dreams are even worth hanging onto.

There are a lot of plausible explanations for what happens next. Maybe it’s because they’re already goofing around, maybe it’s because Kara broke her step stool last week and she can fly so she hasn’t needed to replace it, or maybe it’s because she just really likes touching Lena lately, but instead of, well, anything else, Kara’s first impulse is to grab Lena just below her waist and lift her up so she can reach the tea.
It’s the soft, ever so slightly breathless “oh” from Lena as Kara hoists her up that knocks whatever autopilot is engaged in Kara’s brain offline, and her first conscious thought is that Lena’s thighs are soft.

Lena’s own apprehension is so high that she’s fairly sure she’s seconds away from hyperventilation, but she’s surprising even herself with how well she’s hiding it.
“Astute observation, Miss Danvers. It’s clear to anyone in the room that you two have…magnetism.” Cat sounds matter-of-fact, but the casual way she states that other people - both students and coworkers - have noticed how she and Kara interact makes Lena want to sink into the floor and disappear.

It’s not like Kara deliberately sets out to make her life harder than it should be. It’s not her fault that she’s excitable, okay, and she forgets things sometimes and maybe those things should not be forgotten under any circumstances. Maybe those things include, well, housing forms, which as it turns out are super important to submit on time if she wants to not be homeless on her sophomore year of college.
Her sister’s going to give her so much crap about this.
